They most certainly are not. Its just this game that they epically fail at.

I personally prefer relic's games. I love territory based games.
Besides all of blizzard's designs were nearly exact copy of warhammer's.(the board game) The orcs look the same, warhammer have zerg like creatures too, and the protoss(I forgot how to spell that name, big deal) and simply a ripoff of the eldar.(I hate both so nevermind)

I always hated wow and never played it. I'm so glad I didn't. I hate those kind of RPG games. You don't have to be a good player in order to succeed, you just got to buy stuff and reach a very higher levels. besides every game got to have an end and a true purpose that isn't just getting stronger, or else it will get boring very fast. :tired:
Posted 17 years ago2007-05-04 21:16:31 UTC Post #221020
Yes it really is a game of time and not skill, character development and not self development. I think war hammer are releasing an MMORPG soon.
Posted 17 years ago2007-05-04 23:16:59 UTC Post #221024
You're wrong, there is alot of mental skill to WoW, devising strategies for certain encounters, working out the theory behind what you need to cast and when. High-end content in WoW isn't all easy. Granted it takes more time than skill but there is still a fair bit of skill behind high-end WoW.

@ blizzard hahaha a starcraft MMO (supposedly being unveiling in korea the 18th of this month) and a visa card? how greedy can you be.

I hate games that reward pure time-investment. Granted, it's people themselves who devote double work-weeks per week on that game, but a game that encourages such behaviour is simply plain wrong. Games should be entertaining or educational, some relaxing after the hard work is done, not time-suckers that keep you away from forfilling your duties.

Good job making a fucking idiot out of yourself.

High-end raiding in WoW back in '05 was the most fun I've had in any video game ever.

Every game Blizzard has released since Warcraft II has been made of pure win. Even WoW, despite what many of you think. My absolute favourite game developer, equal to Valve.

Oh, and Elon, you're a dick.

I think a lot of people just jump on the bandwagon and "hate" WoW. Don't like it? Move on and STFU about it.

looks the same as sc only newer graphics. lame.

i was hoping to take control of a unit in first person and run-a-muck, and everything is scaled realistically instead of that out-of-whack sizing RTS's usually have so you can see the units.

Could have do such a nice job with it, but no. they. fucked. it. up.

fps in wc3 is entirely possible (i've done it). but it's damn difficult. LOTS of triggering.... so I'm pretty sure it'll be possible in sc2.

Yeah! Especially in SC. AND if everything was correctly sized, it would be epic as hell. Imagine commanding a battlecrusier, or riding horseback on a hydralisk. It. would. fuckin. own.

but blizzard is gay.

:D Hooray! My games aren't as old as I thought. (Dances happily)
SC2 looks really nice to me though.
