Upon making a new map since reinstall of steam, I had started compiling... everything went semi-smooth until...

"We're sorry for the inconvenience blah blah blah" <--- the famous Windblows "Send Error Report" window pops up telling me the error was in vrad.exe .....

"well I'll show you!" I thought, and downloaded what I assumed to be Zoners tools.... (now file named cst*.exe)

Replaced ALL build progs, every one of them came up the same thing... so I switched back, and used ONLY cstrad.exe - NO CHANGE!

This computer may be out-dated, and the graphics may be a little ancient, but no more than 3 months ago it HAD compiled maps JUST FINE! Is there something I can do to fix this? :thefinger:

A desperate plea.....

Can ANYONE shed some light on this? I don't understand how vrad can be error'ing out!

I'm about to give up on mapping altogether... I've both refreshed sdk content AND rreset game configs more than 5x each, I've COMPLETELY removed Steam and reinstalled, I've even deleted that .blob file people suggested I delete.... NOTHING!

Are there ANY OTHER compiling programs for source that MIGHT do the trick? (google is spitting out a bunch of forums and discussion crap that makes no sense to me)
