You'll be able to do so in TWHL3, until then, you may just have to stick with zip's.

and as a matter of fact, the upload section is(i think) broken because when i upload the zip file,it says that the file is not a zip... oh man :x

Oh and it's easier to make rar files.

Yes, but Zip is an international file system automatically supported by any Windows version above 98. What if a user (such as myself) doesn't have WINRar? No offence, it is a very good program but we need to consider all users before we make a decision like that. FPS Banana is a hard site for me to get downloads because most of the files are in RAR or T9(??) format.

Just don't use WinRAR. I don't like it either, so I use 7-Zip. You do know WinRAR isn't the only program that supports RARs, right?

In my mind, using it is a step forward. The Zip format is old. Really old. RARs are the new way, and everyone's using them now. Why hold back advancement in technology for frivolous reasons? You're just impairing yourself by refusing to adapt to the new compression standard.

i agree.
winrar has that 30 day trial thing that just nags at you when you use it past expiration

the compression is fantastic, and you can even choose to make a self extracting archive if you really want to so the people dont even need winRAR

Hang on, why do we need to consider others in this decision? Giving members the choice to use Zip or Rar when uploading maps is not something that we should govern. It's the users problem, not TWHLs.
