ok when i started making my map it was working perfectly fine. i was making a westerny type map using but only a few wads. so i run it from now and then to check how its going, it was going fine everything ran no missing wads no nothing. so ima almost halfway done the map...... but when i got to run it once more it doesnt work? the create a server part doesnt... when it runs local server for the map 2 run

What doesn't work?

A. The compile
OR
B. Launching the map
OR
C. Playing the map

Eitherway, copy your compile log (open your compile window, hit "CTRL + A" and "CTRL + C" and then paste it by hitting "CTRL + V") and paste it here, and post it.

Also, if the error was in the console, copy the error and paste it here.

Where it says "outside world"

Check your map in the 2D views. Is there anything off the grid or close to the outside?

some of my house r near the edge of the map but not outside it... theres a fence bordering that

Aha i think i found the problem... when i used vertex manip to stretch my map the sky border and fence were a bit slanted making a bit a crack the size of a pixel... if that isnt it then i dont no what.. and besides the point my create a server on HL stopped working cause of this map

my hl launcher has also been freezing then sending error reports cause of this...

First of all, upgrade your compile tools. Latest version is here: http://www.themightyatom.nl/hldownloads/zhlt34x86final.zip

Get rid of the old q tools before you unpack these.

Then recompile your map to get an updated log file. The error will probably still be there.

Make sure you don't have any invalid brushes. Also note that brushes should be no more then 64 units away from the edge. Believe it or not, the engine sorta "scales" your map. Hard to explain.

You couldn't move the whole map closer to the middle of the grid without deleting something?

Edit->Select All and move anywhere you want. ;)

And don't forget to enable Texture Lock (TL) so that you're textures don't get missalligned when moving the map.
