:D ATTENTION!!! all labyrinth mappers. ok, i was stil thinkin' of this but i'm posting it here to here some comments, reactios or disagreements about this mod. my mod is about a labyrinth a big big big labyrinth. at the end there is a big teleporter (an acient one to be exact) that will lead you to some parts of the world. my theme is a hedge labyrinth. that's all. and i am gladly inviting mappers to contribute to this project of ours. i said ours because i am not making this mid alone it will be the whole TWHL! (if somebody is interested).so all i need is a lot of mappers,and coders. the map theme may be different but i'll be sending some of my prefabs if your interested in makin' hedge-style laby's. :tired: i am really tired right now maybe tommorow i'll give more info about it but if you have interest on this project first i would reccomend you to participate in the competition held here.so i can see your skills before participating here because i might be disturing you right now but if your not joing the compo you can start makin' maps for my, I mean...our mod. cracks yawn

Your idea, well, it doesn't make any sense.

You have proved your leader skills to be.. well, you have none. Seriously.

Your mapping skills are thin, sure they will improve but it is just not enough.
You need to improve these skills, becuase as it is, these skills are too low, and nobody will join you.

When you go Rimrook level, give me a PM and I'll personally code physics into your portal modification of quake 2.
at the end there is a big teleporter (an acient one to be exact)

3) use what you have learned to better understand your mod idea
4) try again

I suggest you don't make threads regarding any of your projects when you are so tired in the future as that ridiculously poor attempt doesn't even come close to the standard required to recruit a team.

Further, do not triple post. Edit old posts instead.

Ill write to give criticism on your idea rather than hack at your "leadership".

I wont join because the mod sounds a bit un-expansive and potentially irritating.

A hedge maze does not leave room for improvement. If anything, it will be hallway after hallway of repetetive looking hedges. Even then, "full" foliage such as hedges are hard to pull off in source. That's why most of the trees are dead, hehe. There is no real room for interesting locations here. Mazes generally look the same no matter where you look. This might be irritating in the sense that a player will get lost in this maze. If everything looks the same, the player will lose their sense of direction. They'll try path after path to find they run into a dead end. The gameplay that you've described just sounds insanely tedious and un-original.

Honestly though, if you think you have a drive to mod, follow along with some of us and join the modelling groupies. Try these tutorials.

You can do a whole lot of cool stuff with new custom models :D

You're idea could work if you add somekind of story to it to make the player want to go through it. Other than mazes, it doesn't sound like much of a world. Maybe give it some deep creative history. I dunno.

I understand you're full of ideas, but keep them humble and try small projects first. Develop your skill and have patience. It's not like, wow, I've mapped 1 week already, IM SKILLED IMA MAKE MOD LOLZ. ;) Strive for perfection and just learn.
