There are so many reasons why this didn't work out it's not funny. If someone wants to take the effort to propose a mod like this PROPERLY, enough people show interest and deem it worthy, then i'll personally give you a news post and a sticky. But the sad fact is, it probably won't happen.

Something like this needs strong leadership from more than one person, and from people we can all accept. It needs a much better proposal then "let's make maps and smash 'em together", and it needs people with enough free time to put in to it.

And there lies the problem, this is a mapping site where people are busy mapping - often more then one project, too. So if the majority of people don't show interest, or flat out disagree with the proposal, you should think about that.

Now this thread has lived way past it's prime, considering who made it.
