Why is the props gray like that? :P

The props are standard prop_statics and prop_physics. The room is lit with a standard light_stop. How do I solve this?

As far as I know its down to the env_cubemap thingy being really reflective. (I assume you have built the cubemaps?) I had this issue myself with several custom textures and prop_models in dark areas. Never did find out how to fix it other than alter the materials .vmt file.

One of many reasons I don't get on with Sauce.

go into your console when you load the map and type

buildcubemaps

then reload the map should be fixed

If the map is hdr you must buildcubemaps twice once for the ldr and once for the hdr

Hm, just realised that buildcubemaps doesn't do anything when there's no env_cubemaps in the map! xP When I placed some env_cubemaps and then built cubemaps it worked. All these effects are confusing to an old Goldsource mapper! :P

Yeah I remember when Hammer beta came out with CSS beta and in my first map, all the fences were super bright in the dark areas.
