Hey people,

Im together with a group of people wanting to begin development of a MOD. The MOD its self is irrelevant at this particular time.

For a "change" to conventional half life MOD's, we are going for a 3rd person esque prespective. How ever, this will not directly follow the player, it will be a mix of fixed camers, fixed cameras following the player and moving camers following the player. Like Resident Evil or Silnet Hill if you will.

Moving inbetween cameras is proving to be very tricky indeed. Does anyone know how i can achieve this camera system?

Thanks for your time,

Monkah

Hmmm... sounds cool, maybe are you using trigger_multiples?

You could put, as Rileymo said, trigger_multiples targetting multimanagers. Then set a certain camera near to the trigger_m on, and all the others off. Be very time-consuming for a whole mod.

Since it's so extensively used it could better be coded in my opinion. IF you have a coder of course... :)

it has to be coded. have you tried weapons with the camera following? they fire all over the place. if this mod is gonna work it better hav some darned good coders at hand. also modellers will help a bunch.

Both the camera as the camera target can follow path_corners. That is, when you use a func_train as the camera target.
