I don't get C++. Here's why:

Video (24 mb mp4)

Im yet again asking an experienced coder to code the weapons in the video above correctly plus the things in my code list for me.

My code list.

Please help an unexperienced coder but experienced mapper out of his misery.

I am an experienced coder - in administrative/corporate database management systems. Sorry, can't help :/

It looks like you've made the necessary server-side changes for the weapons, but not the client-side. Have you compiled client.dll? I suggest you read Creating a Sniper Rifle in the 2.2 SDK by Robert Prouse. Most if not all of it should apply to HL SDK 2.3.

Ok, ?ll give it another try, though i think i got the client side for the deagle. I copied over code from the Raven City SDK. Perhaps it wasn't finished? That's what i hate about it, i don't know what's finished and what isn't.

But is there anything in my code list you'd like to code for me? Even if its just one thing, i'd be very happy.

EDIT
AWSUM!

The deagle and displacer work. Except for one thing. If you've played Opposing Force, you know that the deagle is a lot more accurate when the laser is on. When it's off, bullets scatter all over the place. In the video above, that doesn't happen. Bullets always seem to scatter no matter what. Why?

Why would you want it to be accurate with laser? Highlander tried to be realistic with the D. Eagle... Just because there's a laser on doesn't mean the gun is gonna magically shoot accurate.

Try holding a laser steady at 30m

come on, gordon and shephard already can hold a freakin rocket launcher steady without the laser shifting at all.

A laser should at least be MORE accurate, if not perfectly.

I can always change that.

You're right, it should be more accurate, but that doesn't mean that without it you can't hit a human sized target dead center from point blank range for christ sake.

Changed:
VECTOR_CONE_1DEGREES
VECTOR_CONE_2DEGREES
That should make the deagle a little less accurate when the laser is on.

Laser off is:
VECTOR_CONE_10DEGREES

Seems to use 9mm Ammo. Other than that, looks great!

Actually, the deagle has its own ammo type. It does not take 9mm ammo.

I was talking about the HUD in that screenshot, but that's good to hear. :)

Wait, what? Last time I checked the DEagle used .357 ammo...?

deagle is technically a .45
the magnum 6 shooter is a .357

'Baby' Desert eagle, .45 Caliber.
Magnum Desert eagle, .357 and .44.
Desert Eagle Action Express, .50AE.

Am I the only one who has this knowledge on Desert Eagles?

Probably, because it's not that good of a gun in real life. And before you start arguing about it, It's intended to be a backup sidearm. For when you run out of ammo for your real pistol. It's massive caliber means horrible recoil, and frankly, it's not as badass as everyone seems to think.

Now that said, in the context of video games, you can make it as good as you want it to be, and I support atom's decision to use it in HL:UE.

Also, I'm using it as a 357 reskin in Colony 42.

Ah yes, the icon is wrong, i'll fix that.
Gonna attempt the Shocktrooper plus shock rifle today. A pretty complex monster in terms of code.

Edit:

Well, the Raven City sdk does not have the Shocktrooperbut it does have the shockrifle. That doesn't make any sense. How the hell am i supposed to get the Shocktrooper now?

The same applies to the Voltigore.

I checked go mod source code and, unfortunately, while their CS weapon coding skills are on par, their op4 monsters (including voltigore and strooper) are not very good. (I don't think it will work properly). Maybe there are other means to obtain those
