Hi!

I know - Doors should be easy - very easy, but..
The Problem is that I want two doors that open and close syncr. with each other. I read somewhere placing two doors (my are sliding ones) would connect them. Hmm, doesn' work for me.
And I dont want to use switches.

Is there an really easy answer out there?

I really searched and searched the net, but no explanation - nowhere!!!

ummm w/o doing much research i can guess at a solution. You can highlite both brushes u want to open and make them both an entitie tied together.

That might work. :

But then they'll go the same direction - and I want the doors to slide in different directions.... :(

Hmm, try making the first door, then naming it like door1 then make door2 the same, and target door1 or trigger to open when door one opens would be easiest

christ. wtf is this?
The doors direction is set by the little compass up in the corner - play around with it.

But when using Hammer, how can I reset the Angels when I already tied the 2 polys to one etinity?
And when creating them each for itself they won't be syncr.... :

when u go to the entities option, theirs a little compass in the corner.

and u can select the entities and click to world and that removes them as being an entitie.

Linking will as well produce the problem that the doors can only be triggered. (from each other)
So I would need a multi just to open them somehow at all.

Is there no easy Way to create a twodirection SlideDoor?
Not possible!! :

Make a door which opens to the left, make another door that opens to the right. Don't tie them together but give them the same name, eg. mydoor.
A trigger which targets mydoor will then open both doors in sync.

or....

two seperate doors, set all their angles to the way you want. and have a trigger_multiple in front of each side of the door and target the doors, hey presto...
