hey i cant download the folder viewer thing so i cant find any of my sound files, can anyone just give me a list of some, took me forever to guess the waterfall 1, i would greatly appreciate it.

Wally can browse the .pak file. There are other programs too. You might want to take a look at the VERC's Utilities page:

i cant download them because i dont have internet on my comp but i do have a bsp port , could i save wally onto it and transfer it to my other comp? it only has 64 mb

Er, I think wally fits onto a single diskette.
Why do you ask anyway, just download it and you'll see that it's only 1.2 megs big.

ok i got wally on my computer but i dont know where my sounds are. how do you use wally to view them and where are the folders? thanks a lot man

They're in (halflife directory)valvepak0.pak in the sounds folder. In Wally there should be a thing to open or load PAK file, or just open. Find the pak0 file and select it and open it. Open the sounds folder. There.

man this is stuped i still cant find the sounds what excactly do i do to open it up

Run wally, start the open file dialogue and choose *.pak from the filetype list.
Now go to your Half-Life/valve folder in the browser and open the pak0.pak.
Now you can extract the entire sound folder by right clicking and choosing 'extract'.

Get Half-Life Model Viewer. It's better at that sort of thing than Wally.
