Which gid setting do you use most?
I usually use 64-32, then I use smaller settings for the detailed areas.

8/16 usually. Smaller only when VMing things to meet up with odd angles.

Usually 4 with zoom size 6.
For detail I use 1 with zoom size 8.
Sometimes, when moving bigger part I use 32 at zoom size 4.

16 for most things, 8 for smaller things, 4 for tiny vertex manipulations. If I am doing things that have to be done by the unit, I have 1 unit grid. I zoom in and out until I am comfortable.

I feel wierd.. i use them all from 1 to 512 
and the mouse wheel comes in handy for the zoom...
come to think of it.. you could get motion-sickness when looking at my screen while i map

16 normally, 8 when moving things around, smaller when necessary. 1 when doing very small, intricate solids.

I like to micro-manage. I am kind of like Kol.

I use mouse wheel+arrow keys to navigate 2d and wasd+mouse wheel+arrow keys to navigate in 3d

D'you know that MX510 from logitech?
I've got one and I can just recommend.
It can handle movement up to a speed of 1m/s.
And it has 8 usefull buttons.
I still use the mousebuttons to navigate through 3d. It's the fastest and most accurate way.

I also have MX510. I can play games without keyboard cos I programmed side buttons to go backwards and forwards as movement keys. Program selector button (2nd down from wheel) as use key. And I use voice so no need for typin chat to keyboard. That mouse is a dream!

10 button mouse would be awesome for superhero mod! Just bind verything to the mouse!!!
