How ya like it? just click on my name and go to it!

But i have a problem. I want a side and upper bar such as coolfat's website. I've looked on many websites but they dont explain it very well. Can someone either make a tutorial very well explained and tells me where exactly to put everything or, give me a great (not a good, but a great) tutorial website. Thnx in advance!

Use FrontPage.
Discard web advice from Rabid ;)

Get Dreamweaver (www.macromedia.com).

XYZ is the latest one I've done.

How did you get a forum?
Posted 20 years ago2004-07-01 17:44:53 UTC Post #38091
No templates for me ... raw Homesite 5.5 html - nothing else (apart from a few of atom's scripts ;) )

Forums you get from your host ;)

I use NotePad all day ! The best tool in windows.
Http://members.chello.se/zombieloffe/ hasnt updated it for ages though :.

Don't use FREEWEBS to make websites, it's embarrassing. Get a decent webhost and make the pages in pure html/php/other wierd shit.

yah, notepad is what i use. i start from scratch. The game is not downloadable, sorry.

@zombieloffe: Can you tell me a 'decent webhost' that does not want money for hosting my website?

My first HP was hosted by tripod. They suck!!!

Websamba so far has been quite reliable, with only a small banner on top. Wich you can work around with a bit different url... ;)

http://www.websamba.com/captainp-home/portfolio/index.htm

http://freehost03.websamba.com/captainp-home/portfolio/index.htm

As for websites, I still use Frontpage although I'm now getting a bit more into the raw html code. Although mapping takes up much more free time so I'm not really that active with webdesign...
Posted 20 years ago2004-07-02 07:38:31 UTC Post #38222
I was just gonna suggest samba.

Do you have to pay for a forum? Or can you get one with free web hosting.
Posted 20 years ago2004-07-02 22:31:12 UTC Post #38402
You need a host which has PHP generally to have a forum.

On the Off Topic of Self Pimping:
Try My Site
It has frames that are not really frames.

I used to use FrontPage until I realised that it isn't supported by 98.7% of Hosts. I now use NetObjects Fusion MX. Much easier.

Why would I want to produce pages in Notepad when I can do the same in a WYSIWYG editor?
And I get enough forum work from here and RUST to last me a life time.
Posted 20 years ago2004-07-04 03:54:13 UTC Post #38632
I used notepad, fireworks (a graphix program) and photoshop to do my site. pimp

That's not a parallel. That's comparing working in Hammer with working in Notepad.

You mean Top-Level Domains. You usually have to pay for them. You can get .tk for free, though. Just type "www.tk"!
