Hello people.

I am making a group of maps about a mission that G-man goes on.

at the start, he gets his job, and the information.

How do I get the guys mouths to move when they talk, so the boss can tell g-man what to do without a voice coming from nowhere?

also, is it a good idea not to arm him with a crowbar?

he starts with a pistol, and lots of explosives, so he can blow stuff up.

its like a covert operation.

he has to stop a terrorist organization from using the aliens as weapons, where in the meantime he will let them out on their captures.

Use the scripted_sentence entity and the mouth of the person speaking moves automatically. If you are using your own wav files, you'll need to point to them in your sentences.txt file.

Custom sounds need to be 11000 KhZ, 22000 KhZ gets played but then the mouth will not move.

As for your levels, arming the G-man is up to you. Test it, let some friends playtest your maps, just try some things out and see what's liked and what works well in the map. It's a designers choice... although some logic is required off course... defeating 30 grunts with a crowbar, well, you get what I mean. ;)

I will post the first level under the unfinshed stuff soon, so maybe all you other mappers will test it.

just another thing, how do I replace the Gordon model with the G-man?

The gordon model? You mean the multiplayer one?

You don't need too, unless the player is actually going to see himself.

You will have to change the models that begin with "v" so that its g-mans hand, not gordons.

Maybe G-man gets an HEV suit :P . In that case, you could re-skin it with different textures.
