I'm making my 1st train! I need help on making my moddel of my train and textering I am using Hammer.. I've made bad looking elevators but i got some experiance with funk_train... I need help!

Umm, why not just build a train from brushes in Hammer and not model it. Modeling will be difficult if the player is to walk around on it, if not, then its easier.

In order to make models move, build a platform covered in AAATrigger and put a model on it. Set the sounds on the AAATrigger train using defaults, or stick custom ones in Sound/Plats or something like that.

Animating it? Then you want a model? I'd say leave it for now, you want a moving train, a controllable one, right? Then modelling has nothing to do with it. Just build your train from brushes in Hammer, read up on the func_tracktrain and path_track and func_traincontrols, and get experimenting. It's not so difficult, just search for some tutorials and read some entity guides.

Copy the wad files you want and paste them all in the same folder i guess? and place that folder in the right place

no, i went to http://editingarchive.com/articles/410f.zip and i got a bunch of JPEG files i need to make them into WAD files.

I also need to make the shape of the train with the hammer brushes and I really need help with that!

Get Wally and make a new WAD and drag-drop them into the new WAD. If you have lots of custom textures like me (~3-4k custom textures) make a single WAD titled 'custom' or something, and just wadinclude everything from there, as it's a pain to have hundreds of little individual WADs.

As for making the train shape right, you're the only one who can do that. Read up on the Vertex Manip tutorials, practice with the clip and shear tools, and just keep trying. You'll get it eventually.

lol, I'm just pissed my friggen Wally is screwed none of my maps are good (thay all are small and ugly and some have leeks that i cannot fix) so there is my explenation! oh and i don't know why but i can't force my self to sleep no matter what i do, there is always something wrong, i get wedgys, my nose starts running, i keep getting itchy every where, i get a headache, i get to cold and the worst and most common i get way to hot!

Multiples of 16. So it could be 16X256 or any other number that is a multiple of 16.
