I'll enter, i need some work to do. Can I have them just kind of standing around, looking at things? or do tehy have to do actions? Like can I have a Sci walk around, stand in front of some computers a while, then look at a whiteboard for a while, then just kind of repeat his little routine?

and back on topic, this compo looks crap. it can be anything, as long sa its got something scripted in it. we can use custom content. why dont we just submit an old mod we made?

Yes, you need a better outline. Make it that it must be something, without limiting what you can make too much. For example, Build A Machine. It tells you exactly what you need to do, yet doesnt limit what you put in it, as long as it has a machine in it.
If you want it to have something scripted in it, tell them what should be scripted, or where the map should be set in. You need to be very specific.
And I'm not entering Wrangler. This compo seems very, well, set up by a n00bish
..... jk. I think Floater is learning very quickly how to deal with his maps and this community. If only he learnt this quickly how to not spam the forums, shoutbox and journal

i think hes taking his website too far. hes trying to become the center of a community witout realizing its already been done. and it really is a bit noobish. seen minimicus's review? "its awesome! the shrinking is awesome!" he should focus more on mapping and take a look at other peoples websites to see what he should have on them.

And those dot things which always go to the cursor are annoying, stupid, and very cheap and corny looking.

If you really want attention you must learn how to build a website without using those crappy programs like frontpage.
Also you have to have a certain amount of knowledge of things like creating images, HTML based websites, building maps etc.

Instead of lashing out Floater, you should listen to the comments as constructive critiscism. If you spend more time making a decent website it gives it a better impression, and will make viewers want to explore more.

I don't hate noobs. I just find it annoying at the amount of them that join in a row. Some of them learn really quickly and become great mappers, but most slip through and take ages to learn. That's why I find em annoying.

okay, you need to make a setting (can be where-ever you wantwhatever you want) (it has to be nice too.) and everybody has to be doing something (think of it as a somewhat busy place) heres and example: lets say you are about to reach a door and the player opens it WRONG!!!, put a barney beside the door and a retinal scanner, and make barney open it for the player.

well, you could make the barney open doors that need a specific code. and you could get him to open the door. or you could go get a keycard and give it to him and then him open the door.
