Ok like everyone told me, I unzipped my pak file into the valve folder... Yea thats great uhh but now all I have is a new shortcut to wally threw valve. When I get wally in that valve folder (how do I use it to view the sounds??)please help.

D'oh!
I'm not really sure what you did there.
Just launch wally, and open the pak0.pak in the valve folder.
Rightclick the folder you want to extract and click 'extract'.
Now choose a destination and wally will start extracting.

or, Open the pak0.pak file in Wally, go to the sounds folder, listen to them and drag/drop them into your desired folder. saves time. tbh

there is no sound folder! is there some thing you have to do to beable to see it?

There is a sound folder, named sound, not sounds. But that's the folder PaL meant, so there's nothing wrong.

Anyway, why should you want to unpack the .pak file? With Wally, you can browse through it, and so can Half-Life Model Viewer. It's easy to find the files you need, and they're useable just as good as if they were unpacked... You don't have to unpack it in order to use the files inside. Just browse through it with Wally or HLMV, and remember their file names and folders they're in, and fill that in in the entity properties...
