You are at home, and you watch a myserious tape...its a modeling clay animation full of bizzarre imagery. Soon after the phone rings. You hear a muffled trumpetting sound...then "oh, and you will die in seven days by the way". You trace the tapes origin back to the North pole and travel there to unravel the mystery before your time is up. This is obviously based a little on a certain cult japanese horror film.
I was thinking of calling it "Pingu"

I'll maybe drop the killer plasticine penguin, but a surreal horror in the arctic is going ahead (if I can actually finish something for once).
I was thinking about the game 'the thing' and thats the exact same atmosphere i want...but with LESS weapons.
I might map it for opp-force instead of traditional hl, an abandoned military outpost would be good, having parts where you have to run practically blind through a blizzard in parts. I'll have to plan this all out properly, but any suggestions would be helpful.

i respect g_kid coz im new and i realesed my first map and i wished i hadnt as it rlly sucked to a lot of the community and i learnt that u shouldnt rush into things and that u can map for years on 1 map and it still may not be perfect!
now a pingu mdl on a horror map pack , sounds crazy yet interesting lol and i wud love to see it wen its either done or kinda started but given up on it later on (cum on scare me as much as they hunger did in hospital brrrrrr)

I agree about teh whole not releasing a map for years thing, I start hundreds of maps (seriously) but only 1 0r 2 ever make it to teh point of compiling.
I like teh blizzard idea, it's a really neat idea, I just love teh idea!! lol
