How do I do that? I gave it a health of 1, but it didn't work.

Make the glass a func_breakable, give it the Render properties you want and set it's health. Be sure to check the flags too...

As for having it moving with a door, that's impossible in normal Half-Life.

try using spirit, might be something in there

if its a func_door or func_rotatingdoor then its impossable to have it break... if its a func_breakable you can have it break but you wont be able to have it move with the door.... however if its a spirit map or for a mod your working on and can add spirit too then you can implement the movewith feature and have the func_breakable simple move with the func_door...

Wouldn't it work to make it a func_breakable, then create a new brush as a func_door, group them and then when u break the glass, it'll shatter the door?

no. unfortunately you cant combine entities like that in half-life.

But you can create the illusion of it being a moving door with breakable glass. Its too detailed to explain here

which is why there's a tutorial..

There isn't a tutorial on breakable glass in doors.

I have worked out a way to do it, but the only problem is that the glass cannot be transparent, or else it will look weird. I will upload it to Example Maps I suppose. Just let me make it look decent.

I forgot to mention that it can only be opened from one side. So you can't use this in a CS map or a DM map. But its perfect for SP.

Did I say there was a tutorial here?

No I didn't ;)

But anyway, I read fizscy's post wrong lol.

I was thinking of non-breakable but see-thru moving glass.

PS. Yo fizscy, I am LOgan (the guy with the jungle wad)

Well you'd have to have them tied to a func_door, then when you want it to break- have a render make the func_door dissapear and a func_breakable appear, and then break it-- this is how it was done in the original half-life game---(I got a decompiler[for that reason only]I use it when I need help on stuff that they did in the game)
It can get frustrating, It took me for ever-- first I had to have the normal door, I walked in and out of when I walked into this room I had aliens appear making them strike the door with there electricity the door broke and flew open and closed. So I had to make two doors one the normal door- and two, the broken door, and then the func_breakable, same as the first door,(only tied to a func_breakable instead of a func_door)... anyways Im going to stop blabbering on... lol

that just gave me a really great idea, but you need that kind of stuff for hl, pity it's almost useless in any multiplayer mod

i did just have an idea that i will try and implement in my forthcoming map:

hi_tribes, actually, go to stuff and look for a post called hi_tribe(s)
