Well, fapping is optional.

This map is something I put together in my spare time earlier today. It's very small right now, and these screens are a lil out of date. But, still, I have gotten some good feedback sofar.

Smaller and more numerous lightsources ;) Always work for me.

Last one looks best. Looks a little flat and cartoony; hard to explain. The textures are too bland and clean, and the grilles on the floor are far too so.

I sniff a pwnage corridor ;p

Looks pretty nice though it needs some fiddling, that vent should have a clipped @ 45* or curved edge imo, since it looks a bit too boxy to me. (Yes, 'tis a vent, but still...)

Meh..

The screenies look okay. I like the texturing, but the archetexture is kind of... flat. I think you need to add some more depth to the map.

Besides that it looks good.

New one looks solid though you should inset the glass on those glass windows a bit. Looks weird with em flush and all.

As well as Rabid's suggestion, I'd also get rid of that retinal scanner or at least retexture it. Apart from that, nice work.

the water is strange looking.

I got an idea for the water. Put a lot of light going through the window from the water. Make it blue. That would look so cool.

Yeah, the water looks terrible - I agree with chow on the light though, I think that'd give it a real underwater feel.

Get a proper water texture.

You could make an Additive texture and make the water look like its refracting.

Making it move is a different story - func_conveyor, animated texture or even func_rotating or something...

Just an idea - i'll try to put something in mapping form if i get time.

Speaking of additive textures...
mop, all the screens and computers and stuff have big black textures only showing the screen part - these are meant to be used as "glows".
Place a matching one infront of a screen/comp and make it illusionary, additive 255, 1 unit thick infront of the comp.

Yeah, the overlays must be used....

Experiment with the FX as well - Making flickering or glowing ones is very cool. I did that on co_ethereal on one of the monitors and it was nifteh.

Yeah, your signs in the pics I've seen/map I played were a bit out of scale - Don't round your sign brushes to 32x or something, make 'em 64x32 or something.

I'm inclined to agree ;/ - They look weird. Make the tank visible in the BG so it doesn't look like we're in some undersea submarine thing.
