...without actually knowing how to model. You DO need ms3d, but you don't need any modelling experience. Anyone interested? I've been experimenting with opfor models. I'm pretty busy, so it'll take a while, but I may get one done.

Not with fiddling with the fgd. It's editing the heads/weapons etc. of existing models. EG: Grunt with walter's head, barney with mp5. I can get it to work every time. And to guarantee it works, it replaces stuff rather than editing it. It's replacing premade stuff with other premade stuff!

erm the only thing i whould be pleased with at the minute is a tutorial that actually tells you how to do a wireframe! skeletons are easy enough to do!

yes i think it goes skeleton then wireframe then block shade then smooth shade and finally textured, wireframe looks like a net man!, go and look in hlmv and select a monster on the bottom left of the first page you will see show wireframe,,,etc
