Errata for press releaseWill you both be releasing your compo maps in the 'Vault now?
Regarding "one reason to have a contest like this is to highlight the quality of work that the community is capable of producing".
This should read:
"One reason to have a contest like this is to avoid getting our mapping team to produce more than two maps. That way we save money. I mean, they'd end up being paid more than the prizes. Haha, trusty fools."
Very true...Exactly, that was what I was getting at. They seem to prefer money over customer satisfaction. :<
Only to show off their game and get more customers to fall into their money scheming trap!
Too many layout and performance issues that have already been discussedDamn straight ;( - It was intended as a fun little project to learn Source which it ended up being, and failed in everything else ;D
Dude, how do you know they won't be decently laid-out?I have heard from people who have played Underpass that it isn't too much of a decent map to play on.
Powerhouse was made by Michael 'Wolf' Schulz, who if I'm not mistaken won the PHL mapping contest with his map Rapidcore years ago.Sure was.
Anyway, if you guys want to see a decent map with good performance, I think I finally managed to make one...Great!
people like that should only be allowed to play board games, especially the Austrialian ones.Playing board games online causes extremly severe lag. I'm talking about pings of over 2500. I usually have to close all programs that take up bandwidth, including Opera.
