It's so damn frustrating, no mather how i design the maps, i can't make the level changes work! I'm getting crazy! Could you check out this example from one of my levels (i cut out a small part from an unfinished map) and try to find out what the heck im doing wrong?
thnx in advance
WHAT I HAVE TRIED:
-adjusted map names, both short and long
-set the right settings for both the landmark and trigger for all the maps (as far as any tutorial told me)
-save as both map file, and hammer file.
-Used both the compile function AND half life (loaded the map from halflife after compiling )
-changed landmark and trigger positions, near the floor, in the middle of the hallway and in the ceiling, and in most cases at the exact same spot as in the previous map (with all types of heights)
The problem you're having with the maps is that you use the AAATRIGGER texture to surround your level. That texture does not "seal" the level properly.
Change the texture of the inside of your big surrounding box (all six surfaces) to another texture, such as BABTECH6. That solves the problem (I tried it).
By the way, a big surrounding box around the entire level is not a recommended practice (in spite of what some tutorials say).
Unrelated: your monster_scientists are too close to the surrounding walls. Move them away.
