Im learning face modeling now :) Ive got down any model thats not a person.(props, physics props, etc.) :) Animating done :) All that remains is faces and people. Their animations should be simple assuming bones work similar in characters as they do in models :)

As soon as I learn character modeling I pretty much could make a mod by myself all custom content :) (Except sprites, sounds, you get the picture) I mean a HL2 SP mod BTW. Ill have to learn some coding down the line, although I start all my major coding courses in college this fall C++, Open GL, TEH MASTER!!! XD XD

God Perfect Dark Zero for 360 looks astounding. Everything is like 4x4 normal mapped with scale at like 99! (For those of you who understand that you know thats wicked sick!11

I stared at a brickwall for like 5 minutes. It was so perfectly normal mapped, and parallax mapped! Its a flat surface, but each brick looks as though it was seperate! INSANE!

Single player is stunning graphics wise, but the VO and AI are horrible.

Multiplayer is very fun though :)

I mainly am taking more pleasure from admiring the models and engine then the actual game XD

OH God I really hate UV mapping. It is the most boring, tedious, repetitive process of modeling there is!!!

Ive finally decided on another map to make. Its for CSS and involves a city combined with an underground subway. THere will be a train (possibly a custom model I create) Along with tons of custom materials all properly lighted and normal mapped. Also custom models everywhere! Parking meters, cars, gurters, Da works. I want it to feel almost like another game while playing.

Right now Im currently modeling and skinning a parking meter for the map. Check back here for some screenies when its finished :)

Almost done with my tutorial on reflections, normal maps, masking relfections, and masking reflections on normal maps. :) Its going to be teh master!

Well, I finally got a model compiled and into the Source engine. It was only a test model, so now I can get to making an actual fully complete decent model to go into source. After a couple of models or so, I will go on to character modeling and creating their animations.

I have to say Im becoming a "Jack of all trades" for Source modding :)

Im thinking about writing a complete easy to understand tutorial on normal mapping (bump mapping next gen) reflective materials, reflective masking, reflective masking on a normal map, and using a blend texture with one normal mapped material, and one regular material to get really cool blend effects similar to Lost Coast and Episode 2.

Argh! I cant figure out importing a .SMD file into SOURCE!!! THis is really pissing me off! Every tutorial I read is no help! I cant figure out what I am doing wrong! I get error: "Command Tier failed, could not locate in dll." This is the last element of game creation (becides coding) I need to learn! ARGH, BLARGH!!!!!

Well, Im almost ready to make a full mod. It will contain some custom props, almost all custom textures, and will be a HL2 SP mod. I just need to buy HL2 legit to get the SDK........

Learned normal mapping materials, and reflections. Still trying to get masking a reflection on a normal mapped material. How the hell do I save in the Alpha channel??!! Hopefully I will reveal how in the next journal. Ive got a few theroies to test on how to do this.

Just registered for my fall classes. Softmore college year starts in september! I managed to slam 5 classes into 2 days. 10 in the morning to 9 at night!!! ZOMG!11 Not so bad, its only 2 days. I will have more hours for classroom labs on other days, but thats ok. I start my Open GL programming class next semester too. I look foward to it very much!

Well, Im starting another map in HL2DM. Im also planning to buy a scanner so I can finally scan some of my drawings for rotoscopy in XSI. I love that word: "rotoscopy"
