Well, haven't updated in while have I? Making a new map set in a small town that is attacked by combnie. If the first map truns out well i'm going to try make it into a small single player game. Heres to this not turning out like Airship.

I WILL NOT be releasing my Airship map, but I did remember another map that I stopped working on because it was laggy (I made it before I read Zombies optimizing page), and fixed it up a little. After running it, I'm convinced that its about ten times better then Airship. SO, I'm going to finish this one and put it in the map vault. I swear this time :P .

Trust me, your not missing anything.

Ok, my map is taking way longer then expected (surprise). I'm determined to finish this one though, no matter how much (I think) it sucks.

Ok, after ditching two maps because they were bad ideas (really bad ideas). I think i finally have a winner! :P

I had the idea when i was watching miyuzaki's "castle in the sky" (great movie by the way). the story is: The combine have discovered how to make gigantic airships that can be armored like tanks and have a very large amount of firepower. They are taking the the airship 'collosus' through its final test phase, if it fails here the progect will be abandoned. Your mission is to sneak abored, blow shit up, and then get off the thing before it hits the ground.
Sounds rather ambitious, but i have it all planned out and I think i can do it. Wish me luck!

Whoa, i forgot about this place. I love source, could someone tell me why its inferior to the original HL engine? I'm not sure if i have this right, but appearently people actually prefer the modified quake engine over source... :| you go sit over there, i'm going to go make something big and detailed, with HDR and physics and bumpy landscape that only took me three minutes to make. Have fun with you invalid solid objects, outdated graphics, and expressionless character models. I'm mapping with source.
Anyway my first source map should be done soon, its basically just shooting crap and... crap. Not that great, but i'm trying to keep in mind that 1) this is my first source map and 2) this is the first map that i will have ever finished, so no worries.

P.S. Despite my HL2/HL1 mapping rant i will say that HL1's AI was better.

I'm back, not that any of you care but i'm going to tell why anyway. Well first there was christmas, I got a new computer! But it took me a while to remember how to get worldcraft to work. And then i got Half-life 2 (!) wich wouldnt work for some reason so i spent several weeks trying to fix that, and then when i finally got it to work i played it for about a week. And then i tryed to download the Half-life 2 SDK, but I'm still on dialup. So i was forced to download bits of it while online. So i finally managed to install it and then i played around with it a bit and here i am. Ok, my grammar is extremely bad, but who cares? I can map for source!
