I just saw the film "Children of men". Good film, in my opinion. :)

The trailer.

Illness has nearly killed me over the past week. I'm not kidding. I was afraid a was going to die but i didn't want to alarm anyone, except for Muzzleflash.

Cheers though, i feel better and my health will be good as new if I keep up my diet and take my vitamins. For those who would like details, I have a bad heart and pair of lungs, and some things such as colds and bronchitus can kill me. Additionally i have thin bloodwork.

On a cheerier note: 6-D is going under some serious consideration as far as development. There has been losses and there has been some gains.

The Awsome:
  • Mod is still alive.
  • Has room for great graphical qualities that cannot be done in any other game, which is still being developed.
  • The use of music and hi quality sounds makes the mod all that more nicer aesthetically and professionally, yet the file size will still be low because of the lesser need for lots of dynamic content like character models, weapons models, and the sounds that go with them. A good thing about give and take.
The Good:
  • 6D is probably more stable and compatable than ever.
  • Still has room for innovations.
  • Has been getting good reviews and feedback, regardless of the conditions set.
  • Still easy to map for, as well as texture.
The Bad:
  • Has room for improvements are far as glitches go.
  • Potentially third person, but lacks control and aim in that view.
  • Entity work is more involving then before, not an issue after things have been set up correctly.
  • Storyline is a thought, but is discouraged due to the nature of this mod and its genre.
The Ugly:
  • Trying not to make things too complicated that it feels unpolished and cluttered with funny aspects. Such as the ability to grab and pick up pushables. The triggers required to do this requires two more special binds on the controls, and only allows 1 box on the map that can do this. Any more would require another two binds specifically for it. This is messy.
  • Hard to model for since that resource is really limited.
  • The Map View function has been eliminated due to an upgrade in the code that makes it disfunctional and useless.

Woot saw the new James Bond today, it was awsome  the new bond is fitting in good, and a good actor.

I also got myself a copy of Windows Vista Buisness, so once I decide if I like it, I may put it on my main hd and then we'll see who has a good 'wallpaper of xxx month' ;)

Well, its a quarter to midnight, I have a day off tomorrow, I've got a notebook full of mod related scribble in one hand, a coffee in the other and a blank screen infront of my which will eventually be covered by the internal workings and solids making up the KinetiX disaster scene.

Bangs head on desk

ahhhh...here we go.

Duke3D map is 40% done. Coding some things in as of current, but one I'm having trouble with (Readable book) so I'll either look into it later or not bother.

Other than that, I've been busy with school. Deadlines. Got three tasks in for next week in ICT. Media Studies work isn't so rough, but I'm behind on research for my coursework (Thriller Movies) But nothing special has happened really...

Well, due to the fact that I'm too lazy to find out why HL2 won't run, I've started making a CS:S map. Its going to be called De_Millhouse. Early concepts show that it will indeed include both a millhouse, and terrorists.

Other things of interest include that I think my computer may have been hacked, and my McAfee virus scan thingy isn't working anymore (and it also says that none of my products are registered, hmmm).
So, while I'm worrying about potential identity theft, random adverts, and cyber terrorism, I can at least distract myself with the crapload of delicious home-made pie that is the inevitable result of the holiday season. Here's to drowning woes in fattening, and ultimately unnecessary, shows of the American appetite!
