Long time since I've put in an entry, moving away from map design I've sort of moved away from this site, yet I keep checking back. Anyways, whats new with me...got a new computer case, going to see the new James Bond this Saturday.

And just finished my new web-site design. http://snpbond.fissioncore.com/

Anyways, just sayin hello - Snpbond 2128th login :biggrin:

Progress on my Duke3D map;

It's going well, around 36% completed. I wish I could get more involved with this site, busy with school, Duke3D maps and my own site. One day I might do something for HL / HL2 worth showing here.

My first post, I showed off some bad barrel model. I did get better and made a few good models. Here my favorite though, a signpost;

Got new PC running smooth. I personally have not noticed anything impressive about the new nVidia 7800gs, but then again, my ATI 9800pro was pretty alright and did everything well till recently.
Can't wait to find a game that will show its stuff. :D

After what would have to be a year of development, Venetia is still progressing. I can say that's it's closer to being finished than it's ever been, which is great.

I'm currently doing a HUGE optimisation run. The last build was pretty laggy in places (dropped down to 28fps in some areas for reasons I cannot understand at the moment). Glview.exe has been my good friend in this long and ardous process. Right now, I'm giving Venetia a proper skybox (rather than cordon compiling it) so hopefully that'll boost the FPS up a little. Might do a normal compile too to see what type of performance we get. Hopefully it'll be good enough for me to finish detailing the map...

Got home tonight to find the parts had arrived for my new PC.

With my new nVidia 7800gs pushing it, I can run it at 1600x1200 at 57fps using the map SwampLight

/Me is so happy tonight. But really tired. Been updating for ages it seems. :nuts:

Well, I'm back, after a long hiatius. Apparently I forgot my password and thought it would be n00b to ask for it back, so I lurked the fourms for a while while I finished up some schoolwork.

School's starting to suck, by the way. I'm failing Trig and if I don't get at least a B on this next test I'm going to have to drop out. The life of a procrastinator, eh?

I've finally decided to just screw the whole Purple Mesa theme and work on my architecture. I'm too eager to jump into things than to take it slowly.

Okay, I'm done.

I haven't opened Steam for about 3 months... sad isn't it :)
have about half a DoD:S map done, but since some recent changes I really don't feel like finishing it. By the look of the gaming community, DoD:S hasn't really taken off and a lot of Aussie clans have reverted back to DoD: original... weird really since it was so buggy and hackable that it wasn't funny anymore.

lesson to get from this...
Graphics are all well and good but if the majority of your customers can't play the game, then it just becomes a novelty.
