T'was my birthday yesterday. Had the biggest cake ever, I mean, you could submerge your head fully into it.

Today, I prove that the cake - at least, this cake - was most certainly not a lie. Now, I must go and OM NOM NOM NOM the rest of my cake.

Here I am, counting down the hours and minutes till the new year and decade. The noughties. Man, what a mess we made of everything. If I were to sum up this decade in one word, I would pick destructive.

What word would you use to describe this decade?

Last night, we ordered a Pizza from Pizzahut. A single large Pepperoni Pizza. When it finally arrived, my aunt chose to pay with Visa, but it was strangely declined. She switched to debit, paid for the pizza, and the delivery guy left.

Why didn't the visa work? Turns out the man charged the visa for $22,356.61
Yes, you are correctly reading this. No wonder the card was turned down!

Intel recently unveiled a new prototype 48-core CPU, and all the size of a postage stamp. Whilst there have been CPUs with even more cores then this, this particular CPU can run ordinary operating systems instead of specialized systems that other much larger CPUs are made for.

Whats more, their release date (according to the article) will be in 2010. A pretty big leap up from the 8-core CPUs from the start of '09.

Heres a rather interesting article I found today on the BBC. click me.

To me, it looks like this person has misinterpreted up the process of science as an idea of "secular religion". A somewhat odd idea really considering science and religion tend to be like rubber and glue.

The article seems to be somewhat ambiguous. I really don't know what else to say on it.

Hey, remember that space experiment a while back where they launched a rocket into space to smash into the Moon? Well, it looks like it was a success.

Clicky

Water on the Moon. And alot of it too. Maybe we can settle on the Moon once we're done with the earth me thinks.

Well, bad news for me today it seems. After months of struggling, the small cafe where I worked out just can't stay out of the red, so they had to lay off a few of us part-timers, including me.

There's a few places near me hiring, so I should, with any luck, get a new part-time job.

Always wanted to get that DVD you wanted in Britain, but couldn't do so because you weren't old enough to find it or too lazy to find/had lost your ID? Well, fret no more!... Sort of.

This news is a little old, but according to the article, a loophole found in the current age ratings laws mean you can now buy any DVD you wish, even those pornos you desperately wanted to buy!

But hurry, because a new law is currently coming in to replace it, which will take about 3 months to come in to effect.

P.S Happy speak-like-a-pirate day!

Been a while since I've updated, so I've got alot to say. Summer has been filled with all sorts of little joys.

Going on from my previous entry, once I arrived in England, the whole family had a big get together, as many of us would be disappearing for quite a long time (me heading back to Canada, my brother going to Japan, and my cousin going off to Germany as part of foreign languages thing). Since my brother is going off to Japan, and can only take so much stuff with him, he decided to give me his PS3, with all his games and Blu-rays. Score!

Unfortunately, it seems my current TV isn't actually compatible with it, which makes it about as valuable to me as a paperweight.

Also, I bought Fallout 3, and fell in love with it. I also bought Broken Steel and The Pitt for it, which I've found to both be very enjoyable. I've also had tremendous fun with G.E.C.K, the editor for the game, to which I've been getting better at, although I have yet to fully master scripting.

Also, my brother pointed my attention to >this< a few days ago. I used to play WoW from about the start of 2008 till about April this year, when I just got too bored of it and left. Theres only so much you can squeeze out of the old content, and the end game content showed how lazy Blizzard is getting (though I do like Wintergrasp, they're seige PvP area). However, it looks like they're finally doing something about the old, obsolete story from way back when the game went live and putting in a new story. I have to say, I'm looking forward to this. I imagine a fair number of people here will curse me for saying that :P

Can't think of anything else for now, so thats it.

Long time since the last update.

I'm going back to England for a few weeks to visit family and old friends and what not. Should be good real good, though im not looking forward to the flight. Some 10 hours being in a tin can full of other peoples farts and arriving jetlagged by about 8-9 hours? Yay.

Awww yeah! I finally got my hands on an elusive copy of "Left 4 Dead"!

So, anyone wanna play a game with me?

Also, this is a little late, but happy new year! Woo!

Another thing to add. My uncle finally arrived, and one funny thing I learnt from him was that, a few years ago he was featured on the show "Salesmen from Hell" Show. For those who want to see him, search it on Youtube and look for the segment where they show a man teaching other salesmen how to "lie to customers". He's the teacher :D

New Year is coming up!

Come New Years eve, my aunts friends and long lost uncle (who is a chronic alcoholic, meaning we gotta hide all the booze). 5 minutes on the phone and he's already making rather bizarre claims (here's one clue on one of his claims. He was indirectly responsible for 'making men's assholes bigger' as he put it).

Oh my.
