Whats new in the land of Penguinboy?
this is:
its a handy editor for my site, i plan to get rid of the frames and use divs, so i am making a batch editor so if i want to change the sidebar, i just click a button and it changes every .html file with the new changes!
mind you, i have only worked about an hour on it but here is a list of features so far: (more for myself than anyone else really)
-opens the file typed into the file bar at the top 2 different ways
*1 - in full, from the start of the text to the end ('full' button)
*2 - just the body section, saves messy extras (when divs are used)
-opens my template file in 2 ways, same as above
-clear button to clear the display
-preview button opens the html file up in firefox (or whatever)
-close button closes
-save buttons save, whether only the body is opened or the full file.
-browse for folder, file displays separately to the folder
to be coded in:
-save buttons, in part and full for any page and the template
-batch change, changes the bit you have changed in every html in the folder
-browse button
later additions
-sidebar change - opens up just the sidebar code and batch changes the new bits (banner change too)
-add news button - opens a new dialog, enter the news entry, and it adds it to the news page, inderts date and time automatically
-add images/screens - i have 3 screenshot pages for my mod and this will add a number of images to the page, under the 'latest screens' bit and bumps the older screens down
-add page - adds a page, lets youedit and save it, gives you the option to add new page to the sidebar
-etc.
blah blah end.

GUI is the same still, but i have coded in the save buttons
'twas tricky, the 'only open the body' scheme was hard to get around, but i managed to get it to save the edited bit and shove it inside the body of the original file.
browse button still isn't coded in.
LATEST BUILD: 399 Lines of code. small but effective.

Well..Im about a month away from my driver test (still have to book it) and Im already getting nervous, I can drive good (starting at 11 on the farm

I'm back and it was great! I'm much better now at controlling with the clutch however we attempted my first go at the U turn manoeuvre and you could say that was my weak point of today...It was to be expected. ?Look out TWHL! I'm a coming to get ya?

Something rather nice happened yesterday.
My MacBook Pro arrived!
It's seriously sweet. I'm not on it atm as I don't have a modem, but I'm installing stuff as we speak. XP runs beautifully.
I gave 3DMark06 a whirl too. Wasn't expecting a high mark, but I was pleased with the 1500 or so 3DMarks it got.

I had two if you remember but one ignored my emails...Don't blame him because of the mix up..I thought he was someone else and I must have given the impression of a noob.
Anyway I hired a concept artist who has actually played the game and has drawn his own before:
Very talented man.
Also slightly funny story:
It took him until today to receive my PM...I emailed it to him a few months ago...
