Bit of up to date news about my projects and plans. Currently coding some things I will eventually use for my Mansion project for Duke3D such as a custom inventory selection to the right. However I dont have any screenshot of that but I do have one of a new key system and health display;

Other small codes I have for fun which I might possibly use in, "The System" which is another project of mine for Duke3D is the Health and Armor chargers (like the ones in HL) Keys and +1 Health Bonus pickups.

Also have a mod idea for Duke3D to make use of 32bit features which is quite similar theme to some post-apocalyspe Final Fantasy settings but at the same time quite different.

Lastly, hopefully I will start practising to use Source a bit more (and that goes for modelling and conversion) and try to make some short, yet somewhat enjoyable SP maps.

Ofcourse I'd also love to make some maps for Zdoom, HL1 and Doom3 Engine based games sometime but I want to finish my current Duke3D projects first.

Duke3D map is 40% done. Coding some things in as of current, but one I'm having trouble with (Readable book) so I'll either look into it later or not bother.

Other than that, I've been busy with school. Deadlines. Got three tasks in for next week in ICT. Media Studies work isn't so rough, but I'm behind on research for my coursework (Thriller Movies) But nothing special has happened really...

It's going well, around 36% completed. I wish I could get more involved with this site, busy with school, Duke3D maps and my own site. One day I might do something for HL / HL2 worth showing here.

My first post, I showed off some bad barrel model. I did get better and made a few good models. Here my favorite though, a signpost;

It's so damn hot these days, sweating every second making it hard to map/model and even play games... Other than that I've recently played and completed Silent Hill 2. Great game, lots of inspirining locations such as the hotel. Playing through the first one now and also some Devil May Cry. That one also has some great looking areas, good stuff. Hopefully when it cools down a bit I can get back into mapping / modelling,

Unlikely anyone is going to read this, but hey this is pretty damn useful! Recently been learning how to model (using XSI Mod Tool) and feel a lot more comfortable with this compared to previous tools (3Dmax, Milkshape, Blender) Thanks to some video tutorials at iwannamap.com I attempted to recreate the barrel from Duke3D. Nothing too special and nothing too hard to do and managed to make, UV map, texture it (badly) and convert no problem, mainly just practise purposes. I think there is too many polys though but I think it's okay for a first. Hopefully I can stick to it.
