YAY! A new competition has come to TWHL. I can say that the time it took for this compo to arise was way shorter than usual. To be honest i expected another month before i could start mapping for a compo again.
Anyway.
If anyone was paying attention to me before when i said i was done with goldsource after the remake a game compo, good for you, because i lied.
This compo will be goldsource as well.
I'm afraid to move to source
my computer doesn't like it and the entities give me headcaeks.
Oh and i finally figured out why my maps aren't really amazing. (They're good i guess) But i don't spend the extra hours at the end of the mapping process to really polish the map with detail and lighting. So i hope i can do that with this compo.
Even if it's a mind-fuck-map i still want it to look pretty.

Anyway, I'm excited for the new compo too, and i know where your coming from about the source mapping. Its entities definitely are more intimidating. But I'll move to source eventually...
i'm just writing this journal because i haven't written one in a while.
And i do plan on taking the source plunge.. eventually.

The compo was still relatively new, and possibly more new to him than to you.
Not you saw, but skals (You're still ghetto to me) and spike.
Anyway. i'm making progress almost daily. which is a first for me. Usually i'll map for 5 hours the first day, and 12 hours the last day. for a combination of complete crap.
