So, I found my dad on Facebook just now, and I can't decide if I should contact him or not. I haven't seen him in almost exactly 10 years and I had actually forgotten what he looks like.
He's never called or visited during these 10 years, despite the fact that we live in the same town. No birthday cards or anything either. I sort of feel like.. if you have kids, you should be there for them, it shouldn't be up to them to make contact.

I thought this was going to be a post about how old people shouldn't use Facebook. Boy was I wrong.

I wouldn't contact him at all but that's me. i don't have time for people who blow me off...
And yes, old people using facebook is creepy, it feels wrong somehow.
I have quite a good relationship with my parents. It's unfortunate that other people do not.
Maybe facebook'll be a better way of breaking the ice than in-person?
