satchmo satchmo“Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. -- Samuel Beckett”
Had a really busy on-call night last night.

I worked for 30 hours straight, and I am pretty damn tired now.

I even missed breakfast this morning because I was rounding on the patients.

Just have to wait for lunch then.

30 hours straight? God damn, that's some insane overtime they better be forking over.

You're a fucking trooper, though.

30 hours? Ouch. I could'nt even go that long without sleep, probably, let alone diagnosing problems and fixing people up...
'You're a trooper, though.'
I second that!

I doubt any good can come out off it if a doctor is working and lacking sleep. I have been told that after 24 hours without sleep the mind is in the same state as a drunk person. Although i cant confirm it as a fact.

I have played shooting games after staying up for 30 hours, and I don't detect any lag on my part.

It is harder to solve complex math problems with sleep deprivation, however.

It's clear now that satchmo is a machine.

Indeedy. A machine that heals people. A "health machine" if you will.
