Ds is pretty sweet. It depends on what you want to play, how long you're gonna play it.
The mario is good. Splinter cell is pretty cool. Age of empires is good. And they have the new DS now with the 2 cameras on it and stuff.

I'd say go for it.

Mario games are always good (except for the horrible Mario Pinball Land for GBA).
I love the AoE games for PC and GTA: Chinatown Wars looks fun. I'm also a fan of the Pok?mon RPG games. That Scribblenaugh game looks interesting, too.

Unless someone talks me out of it, I'll probably buy a DS Lite. I don't care too much about the cameras or extra CPU power.

Get a DS lite and also get a flash card with the GBA insert. Now you can play every single DS and GBA rom on your DS!

@Penguinboy: I'm thinking of buying a DS-Extreme and then download most games and only buy the ones I really like, just like I did on my PSP with custom firmware.
@Tetsu0: Haha, I wonder if you can spawn an Internet.
