Never found it and was never bothered despite playing the game 13 times or more. I did cheat it up though.

If you have the Silent Running perk along with Chinese Stealth Armor, nothing detects you as long as you don't shoot a loud gun, or YOU run into them. If you're standing still, and they run into, they won't even notice. =D

No, you can consider yourself lucky if you ever manage to own the Firelance. Not hard to get, but it's product of a random event so...

Saw Saw Saw. I shall forgive you for that last comment because you seem to not know.

Start a new game and go to the memorial place near the shopping mall. Before "discovering it", save the game. Then swim over and discover it. If the event doesn't happen then reload and repeat.

Took me 30 times and within that I got a Deathclaw, a Chinese Soldier corpse and the Firelance. EASY :D

If you're forcing random events sure, but I don't have the patience for that...

Anyone know if Behemoths can be "exploding pants'd"?
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-22 13:50:22 UTC Comment #53362
What is "exploding pants'd" anyway? Never found that out.

Reverse pick-pocket any sort of grenade or mine into someone else pocket... BOOM. Make sure to stand back. ;)

That's fun to watch. :D

Commented 14 years ago2009-07-22 15:27:15 UTC Comment #53350
haha it is.
'Super Mutant Master' > 'Pickpocket' > Live Frag Mine > "It's gonna blow!" > Boom.

Yeah, I've played it, it's pretty good.
Get it ASAP, Tetsu0.

Oh so that is what exploding pants is. Wow I've been doing it all along and didn't know it.
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-22 19:39:48 UTC Comment #53373
Try doing it to a friendly NPC. When they're surrounded by other friendly NPCs with large weapons.
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-22 20:27:23 UTC Comment #53364
fun with plasma grenade, since they turn into green goo upon exploding.
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-22 22:41:56 UTC Comment #53351
i prefer normal explosives. body stays, there legs come off.

Jingwei's Shocksword is my favorite weapon, good damage, melee, and on crits in turns badies into dust. which is always, cause i always get sneak attack crits with it. unless of course the sneak attack crit doesn't do enough damage to kill... D=

I really like Lincoln's Repeater...that gun can take the head off a super mutant from a very good distance with a sneak shot :D
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-23 02:32:25 UTC Comment #53344
fallout 3 seemed to have too much American history stuff in it...
though i spose the with the slavers and slaves and stuff at lincons memorial was quite subtle too
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-23 03:23:36 UTC Comment #53368
I'd rather use my backwater rifle, it still does a lot of damage and it fires 10mms instead of the 44s Lincoln's Repeater fires.
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-23 04:32:24 UTC Comment #53365
What kind of rifle uses 10mm rounds? >.>

Oh btw saw, the shock sword does the same damage as the shishkebab, but if you use the pyromaniac perk (I think that's what its called) you get more damage with the shishkebab. Its now my primary sneak melee weapon.

Just a little tip I picked up.
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-23 04:37:26 UTC Comment #53369
Well my repair is high enough that it never does less than 43 dmg per shot, and it fires 10mms which are cheap and plentiful, and it has a good rate of fire, it reloads fast, and it holds 10 rounds at a time.
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-23 11:44:13 UTC Comment #53352
Normal rounds are pretty easy to get for anything if you have and completed "The Pitt" because there is the whatever you call it, ammo press?

@ATD: Did not know that, and I can't really say one is harder to repair than the other. Shocksword takes any chinese sword, which aren't that common, but shiskebab, you need another shiskebab. Maybe I should look into the super sledge.

What gets me is that in Broken Steel, they pretty much made Hellfire armor, considerably superior to any other power armor, and piss easy to get.
I think they should make standard T51-B leet god-mode stuff, and make it considerably more well-fortified.

"fallout 3 seemed to have too much American history stuff in it..."
It's part FPSRPG, part history lession! :D

@saw True, I could just make some 44 mags.
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-23 13:27:23 UTC Comment #53366
NineTnine is just butthurt because there's something American in it.

You french bastard!
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-23 20:09:23 UTC Comment #53375
But the french gave the americans the statue of liberty seen so often by the white house and the golden gate bridge.

Lol, did you think I was serious when I said that they were all in the same city?

I also like collecting the special named weapons. So far I have found:

Reservist's Rifle (Sniper Rifle, one of my favorite weapons in the game. I once took off a Raider's head from 200m away)
Stabhappy (combat knife)
The Terrible Shotgun (Combat Shotgun)
Punisher (Nailboard)
Vengance (totally awesome gattling laser :D
Oh and the Alien Blaster
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-24 00:12:52 UTC Comment #53353
I have two Alien Blasters. One from the crash site, one from Adam's Air Force Base.

I'm perfectly content with my Gauss Rifle for all my ranged combat. If I have to use the Gauss, then I'm far enough it shouldn't matter anyway.

Recently reached level 24. It's insane. So glad I have that ghoul mask. So many reavers, and they're ungodly hard to kill.

Also for your unique weapon collection, try and get the MIRV. Fires up to 8 mini-nukes at a time. Pointlessly epic.

Oh I heard of that!! I friend of mine told how he used it to rain nuclear war on a Super Mutant camp :D

MIRV + Infinite ammo = WTFFFFF???????

I've just been playing and found an old armory at at the bottom of a pit full of radiation there is a 'Very Hard' locked door and computer console...darned I can't open it yet...I nearly died of radiation poisoning going down there
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-24 04:26:04 UTC Comment #53345
french!
no no, what im saying is that Fallout 1 and 2 had like, harldy any american references to it at all... and now theres like, lincon momorial stuff, rescuing the declaration of independence and an anoying radio station that plays old yankee tunes from the civil war and the president allways saying "hello there america" and go into a big thing about baseball
i mean, ive allready killed the president in fallout 2, i dont want another one!
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-24 04:34:13 UTC Comment #53359
The storyline is that somewhere in the 1950's our timeline branched into Fallout 3's timeline...where everything became a futuristic bliss while never leaving the 1950's...I think its supposed to be a separate game from 1 and 2
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-24 06:55:54 UTC Comment #53340
"Fallout 3 takes place in the year 2277, 36 years after the setting of Fallout 2 and 200 years after the nuclear war with China that devastated the game's world in an alternate post-World War II timeline."

And there's a bunch of American history stuff in Fallout 1 and 2 too, since they take place in America ;)

Haha...I found Vault 108 and fought my way through an Army of Gary's hahaha
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-24 13:01:32 UTC Comment #53354
Fallout 3 is set in 2277, the reason for the 50's style themes and lack of advancement in most fields is because in the 1950's, after coming more on to nuclear power, we (in Fallout) continued to research it whereas, we (in RL) didn't. The reason Fallout is 50's themed is the same reason it's set in an irradiated wasteland.

hotdog, you mentioned an highly radioactive pit with Very Hard terms and locks? Where, I have both skills at 100, i want to check it!
Commented 14 years ago2009-07-24 22:36:06 UTC Comment #53361
Ok...it's somewhere west of a Car factory that is approx south-west of Cantubury Commons...you can see the factory from the back of the robotics workshop building...also near Vault 108
