Completed Driver's Ed (Pre-Driving thing we have at school) today and I went well too. Out of 30 I scored 30 for automatic and 28/30 for manual. 2 points lost due to changing to the wrong gear two times .__. Although, that's pretty good for a first time driver. :D

Congratulations.
Do you have to drive with your parents for a year now, or do you just get your liscence and head off on your own?

Who actually drives with their parents when they get that permit? I drove on my own for a year and a half with that thing.

Fuck you lucky bastards :D. If I were in America now(I'm 16) I could drive a fucking car :(. I understand that you can even drive from 14 if the parents assist you.

Striker, in the US is goes driver's ed->1-year learner's permit->road test->liscence. It's beena while, but I believe the minimum age to start driver's ed is 14.

Actually, and it may be different for Michigan, it's:
Segment 1-> 1-year learner's permit -> Segment 2 -> Upgraded learners permit with 30 day wait -> Road test-> License

In CT, you can get your permit on your 16th birthday, but for drivers ed, you need 40hours road experience, and pass their test, and when you do that, you can get the license 6 months after youget your permit.

It must vary from state to state. Bah, I Should have known better.

In Austraila, when you turn 16 you sit a computer multiple choice test, then get your Learners. You are not allowed to take you actual driving test until you are 16 and 6 months old. If you are older than this already then you can do it as soon as you want. Sit a driving test. If you pass, you go to Level 2 learners and you have to complete a Log Book with a person who has held their licence for 4 years or more. Once you complete 100 hours of driving you sit another computer simulation test and pass that and you get your licence :D it's a long tedious process...i'm just lucky I got mine done before they changed the laws...i only had to do 25 hours Log Book...not the 100 hours

Are there a lot of collisions in Aus?

Hotdog, that doesn't sound tedious at all, in fact it sounds easier than California's program. Are you saying they never even test your driving in real life, just on computer simulations? That is madness.
