In my previous journal I said I just finished Crysis.
Well, know that I'm now a Crysis mapper. I'm on my way making my first map( it's kinda like a test map with all sorts of stuff).

Compared to hl\hl2 mapping, crysis mapping is awesomely fun.
Especially because there's no compilation process. You just press ctrl+g and the 3D view instantly becomes your play view.

Yeah, you need to know how to model to add any custom content at all.
More like dropping prefabs on the terrain...

Sounds like the Delta Force: Black hawk down editor.

Except there you chose from premade terrain too.

You're talking about the easy part. You can actually make things the way you make it in hl2 too.

You know, there's a plugin for Google's Sketchup called "CryEngine2 exporter". What this basically does, it enables Sketchup to export any Sketchup made 3D scene as a Crysis map, ready to use in a game! Now, even though I use Sketchup myself, I have never tried this plugin for it, so you would need to refer to the following site for more info:
