Just finished Mirror's Edge. I gotta say that I enjoyed almost every moment as some parts proved to be annoying ("oh I missed the building by that much, start again. Hey I fell off again... start again"). It's linear progression was also a bit of a let down and so was it's short story line, but despite all of those, the overly bright style to it along with it's awesome soundtrack, Mirror's Edge was worth downloading buying... >_> I just would prefer if it wasn't linear; that there were more than just the one path of completing objectives.

Giving it 8.5/10

Yes, it was very fun.
I spent a long time doing the time trials after finishing the actual game.

I think it's a good game. I wouldn't put it on my top 10, but I would consider putting it on my top 100.

I don't think I've played enough games to fill a top 100 list...

Mirror's edge is good, but the combat scenes (where you MUST kill everyone) kinda ruin it.

Heh, getting this game right now for PC. I liked it on PS3, but I agree with what Pb said. Some of the forced combat scenes are really tedious and demand near perfection if you get yourself in a bad spot.

If they improve on that and the presentation/story, I'll easily give it's inevitable sequel a shot.

8.5/10 seems like a good rating for a game that costs ?4

You say that like it's a bad thing.

also consider it wasn't always that cheap, and that it's roughly a year old. The price having dropped more dramatically this soon due to the lack of online content or playability.

Personally, I didn't like it. As has already been said, there's too much forced combat. I also came across a problem in one of the levels that made it damn near impossible to continue. One pipe didn't seem to be solid, and I kept falling through it rather than catching on. It pissed me off quite a bit.
