Here we go again,......what the hell is up with Hollywood and their pervasive need of lately to "reboot" everything they get their hands on? I mean, I can understand re-doing an old movie that's perhaps decades old (about 30, 40 or 50 years old or more), this way it can be introduced to a new generation of viewers, I have no problem with that. A good example of this is the upcoming "A-Team" movie, which is based on the popular action series of the 1980's of the same name: http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808402981/video/17565315

But what I don't understand is why the hell Sony has the need now to restart the entire Spiderman movie franchise from the beginning! You heard right, apparently Sony has decided to scrap Spiderman 4 and instead start all over again with a new franchise including a whole new cast of actors. Heck, the first Spiderman movie is not even 10 years old yet, let alone the third movie! So what's going on here? Were the first 3 Spiderman movies that bad?

I'm not a fan of the Spiderman movies, so I don't care. But I don't like what they did with Sherlock Holmes.

Apparently they say they plan on making box-office history again like they did with the first 3... if there are more like-minded people other than Tito, which I'm sure there are, then it probably won't be a reality.

Sherlock Holmes should be judged on it's own merits because it wasn't intended to be faithful to the "true" Sherlock Holmes. At least, that's what I keep hearing.

Anyway, rebooting the Spiderman franchise with new actors?
LLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Yes, LOL indeed. My bet is that they are going to make the new Spiderman series of movies "darker", pretty much in the same way they did with the last two Batman movies. You know how it is......"copy-catting" is big in Hollywood. You just wait and see in a few months from now, on how a few Avatar want-to-be's are going to spring up out of nowhere to try to capitalize on James Cameron's Avatar's record breaking success.

Eh, the Spiderman films are pretty junky. Entertaining enough I guess, but junky, and don't even mention the third film. Raimi isn't a very original director.

I'd like to see a better adaption, but it won't happen. Not under Sony's control.

I tried to watch the third Spider-Man once. What joke, it was like some kind of little kids movie. I cringed and turned it off in the first few minutes.

Yeah I heard about that, its quite pointless. If an actor dies or quits you don't have to scrap what they've done so far; just get another actor and continue on with spider man 4.

Yea, it looks pretty good. I was a loyal viewer of the old TV series when I was a little kid, so I am looking forward to this movie.
