I have the new Splinter Cell: Conviction game pre-ordered for Xbox 360, hopefully it should be here the 13th or 14th. I have the collector's edition coming so it should hopefully have a few nice goodies.

The demo is up on LIVE for anyone wanting to try it out. In my opinion, it is pretty amazing. I've played it a few times, and still plan on playing it more, to develop my "skill" in that area.

Splinter Cell was built for the Xbox, which is why the new one is a 360/PC exclusive. I thought the control was pretty great. I can't imagine how anyone played the old ones on PC, having to move slow and such.

Chaos Theory controlled perfectly on the PC, as did Double Agent. They both used the scroll wheel to determine how fast you were moving. Scroll up to set a higher movement speed, down to lower your movement speed. I found it a lot easier to play both on the PC rather than when I played them on the Xbox. My movement was much more precise, as was my shooting.

I hear SP is pretty short. I'm not getting it for the sole fact that it requires that DRM bullshit.

Yeah, don't buy this game on PC unless you like Ubisoft raping you up the ass with a broomstick.

Care to elaborate PB? Other than the fact that they priced it up $10 bucks whats wrong with it?

All your save games and profiles exist on Ubisoft servers, and you absolutely must be online to play the game. If your internet drops out you are simply booted from the server, the game and lose your progress. The service has already dropped out several times (from faults on their end) and locked thousands of people out of their own games.

It's ridiculous.

Well that sounds delicious. I don't want the console version but at the same time I don't want to be fucked over. What to do....

I've tried it on console, and it works fluidly and the way it should. I've already played the demo numerous times, out of fun factor.
