Anyuay, thiz iz actually a ztep foruard compared to earlier. Couldn't even log into uindouz becauze a bunch of the keyz uere zticking. I'd prezz 'K' and I'd get 'KIJLM.' Pretty hard uhen entering a pazzuord. Opened her up and cleaned a feu bitz and piecez but unfortunately to no avail. Glad it only cozt £7. I'll be getting a neu one at the ueekend and making my dezk a cat free zone... actually, might juzt be eazier to keep liquidz off the dezk.

Shower it. The water should clean out the sugar and other goo. Then just let it dry and it should work. I've done this to two keyboards, fixed both of them.

And meanwhile use onscreen keyboard. Every OS has one.

potatis beat me to it. Pop all the keys out with a small screwdriver first - just make sure you put them back in the right places when it's clean!

The whole thing needs replacing anyway. It's old and cheap and most of the characters have rubbed off. I'll try soaking it but considering i already wiped the whole thing down inside I'm not sure what good it will do.

happened to me few years back, but it looks like your 'v' key is working so u can steal the letters you need and paste them into your words. It was a laptop for me too so that was really bad.

When buying a new KeyBoard, Logitech is a great choice. Most of their keyboards are virtually indestructible, and they have quality.

Mine keyboard got hit like a million times (by me >__>) and it works perfectly.

Personally I prefer GearHead Keyboards and mice, never had a problem with them yet, not sure if they sell them over there.
