Don't know which is better:

1. Walking 25km home on rain and high wind trough the woods because the bus driver of the last buss home (00:15) didnt give an F i was on the station. Took me 3 hours.

2. Getting "robed" for 0.3$ by 4 people and an APPLE pealing knife (seriously i laughed my ass off when they walked away) - They were all like: give us money or we will gut you and shit

3. Seeing the exact same driver of the bus that blew me off as i was approaching my home, 3 hours latter. I wanted to hit the driver in the face with a metal pipe.

But in the end i was happy, i took it like a man, and it felt good not to go down their level. Guess i learned a very important lesson today.

Not sure how long 25km is; I use miles.

Not sure how much 0.3$ is; The American currency is abit different, and $0.3 is considered 10 cents. 10 useless cents.

The robbed part was hilarious.
But jesus, walking 25KM in the rain? I feel bad for you.

Dimbark: No, .3 Dollars would be 30 cents; $.5 is 50 cents, 1.0 is a dollar.
Walking 25KM in the rain must suck, but how the hell did 4 obviously desperate muggers (they were using an apple peeler, after all) let you get off with only 30 cents?

EDIT: Oh, also Dimbark, 1 KM is a little over half a mile. (0.62 miles) Get with the times man, Imperial is so outdated, archaic, and unscientific.

You imperial sheep.

There's no way you can walk 25km in 3 hours. He either meant 2.5km or 30 hours, and I'm inclined to think it was the former.

2.5km makes a lot more sense than 25. Still sucks though Stojke

Average walking speed is about 5 km/h (~3 mph). 25km in 3 hours is not a walk.

JeffMOD because it didn't matter, they were probably those poverty stricken types of people that may NEED the money....or terrible gangsters I guess lol.

Sounds like you got next week Monday in advance. I hope they enjoy the apple peeler, they sure were desperate for it.

Well i said roughly 3h (was a bit more) and 25km (probably was less), my legs lost feeling while i got home.

And they took only 0.3$ (20RSD) because thats all i had. But i could have defended my self pretty easily, but there were 4 of them and who knew what the others had, i still remembered 2 faces.

I think they were some lame drugs users or something, i still find it funny how i was all "yeah, aha, thats nice" and stuff while they were raging and threating.

Ah well, my mom did tell me not to go home with the last bus any way -___-"

Bus drivers are often a quite evil breed.

A couple of 12-something year olds tried to rob me once, it was the weirdest experience of my life.

Wtf? I would have pissed my pants if 4 robbers found me alone in the woods.

Also, 25km in 3 ohours is possible. That means ~8km/h. That means running.

Miles, inches and Fahrenheit make no sense.

Cold is a viral infectious disease, you don't get it by being out in the cold.
Commented 12 years ago2011-10-22 22:17:34 UTC Comment #66488
then why do you get the sniffles after being out in the cold rain?
Commented 12 years ago2011-10-23 00:38:17 UTC Comment #66478
Well, it's really a combination of two things. It's part respiratory biology and part of it is physics, or thermodynamics. One of the main functions of the nose is to warm and humidify the air that we breathe so that when it reaches your lungs, it's nice and conditioned. And in order to do this, the nose has to add some moisture to it. When it's very cold out, the air is usually dry as well, and the nose is really working overtime to add some fluid. And there are reflexes that are in place that allow the nose to increase its fluid production. If it really makes a lot of fluid, then it starts to run out of the end of your nose.
