Just back from the otolaryngologist. Had a cerumen block vacuumed out, I was almost completely deaf from the right side since last friday. It's so good to hear again!

Hearing: Something one rarely thinks about until there's something wrong with it.

I had a similar problem a few months ago but it passed without me going to a doctor. What's odd is that I wash my ears every day.

Ironically as you are momentarily ceasing to take ears for granted you're pretty much taking everything else for granted at the same time.

Oh man, I've had this before, too. Putting up with a blocked ear for days on end can drive you mad, and what's left after the clean up is... disgusting to say the least.

The feeling of relief afterwards, though!

Sounds are crisper than ever. I can't wait until it starts to even out with the other side.
