Bought myself a laptop.
Well had it for 3 weeks now but still :D
So its a Dell inspiron n7110
Cpu: Core i7-2670QM @ 2.2 Ghz
Ram: 8 gigs
Gpu: gtx 525m 2gb
Hdd: seagate 750gb 7200rpm
Display: 17" 1600x900

The price is about 1000$.
For that price ive bought the joy of mobility :D
Its a fine machine but only 3 things bug me:
It is faster than my desktop apart from the gpu side
Bluetooth doesnt work
No way to get a 120hz signal out of it for my display

Your thoughts ? :)

It is an excellent deal, but in some time Intel will release Ivy Core, which means 50% less power consumption on laptops. So if you were more patient, you could get something even better. And yes, I know the story about being patient and something new appearing, but this new technology will appear this month(afaik), and in a couple of months there will be a lot of offers based on the new platform :).

I was thinking of waiting for ivy but for a 5-10% performance increase i think it was not worth it, and i could only afford an i5 then probably, which is not acceptable :). Power consumption is not an issue because i will mostly be corded anyway. It does work for 3hrs under moderate load that is well over enough for me.
I might throw an ssd in there and get an external for data, but disassembly is a pain in the a**.

I have a radiator just like that. But there's a computer partially blocking it in that photo.

It was a good idea to look here for the Golden Rufee, but it's not here either. Think about it a little harder. What's Rufee's number?
