Hey peeps, ive been away some time and nobody missed me, just how it should be
Anyway Stojke wanted to see how my "datacenter" is holding up so here it is.
The new and improved shelf to house more old (and i mean really old) calculators:
The famous car battery UPS with some overcharge on the battery
Top of the line security:
And the newest edition:
(a dell GX270 or 280) custom mounted.
All running on the most reliable router ive ever had:
I like how simple it is, yet pretty damn cool.
What are the total computer specifications? And what are you hosting on them, if its not a secret
Keep it up! Its a pretty unique hobby.
With one PSU its almost impossible to do this. Too much voltage drops.
As far as specs go:
The machine on the left P4@ 2.55ghz/2gb ram/60gb SSD/ Runs Linux and an MySQL server.
Middle: AMD Duron@ 1.3ghz/256mb sdram/2*40gb HDD/ WinXP general FTP and my web server (mysql decided not to work on this machine)
The right one: P4@ 2.4ghz/2gb ram/2*80gb HDD/ WinXP 2*HL servers
Router has a 100/100 FTTH link, got a VPN configured so remote admin is not a problem gotta love RouterOS.
I bet it can run Crysis.
1) Awesome! If I had the space, I'd attempt it. Really REALLY Awesome stuff mate.
2)is that foil pipe/thingymabob for hot air exhaust or cold air intake? o.o
3) Got the same camera, well, 4 of them, love them. XD
4) What DO you use this for? o.O
Very nice over all, maybe you can be my data center guy. :3
