Got me a Bass Raider 8 with a 50lb thrust trolling motor.

Time to hit the water.

You can put it under the seats I guess, it is kind of cramped. I'll probably take pics tomorrow with it loaded up and on the water.

Yeah I get the feeling it'll run better on water.

Yowser that is great Zeeba, I want one!!! :P

EDIT
I want to make one of these out of gallon jugs and two litres epoxy'd to a sturdy piece of plywood; Not a lot of idas for propulsion besides pedals :P

It would be fun to try, just to see how gloriously it would fail..

I'M not a fishermen, but I have a big creek and canal walking distance to my home, very calm water... I'd love to try it as a new hobby!

I really want to make a bikecar this summer too, but meh..

That would be cool. I'm sure there's tons of ideas online. For solely paddling I'd highly recommend buying a cheap kayak.

I've always wanted to put a bicycle chain on a cheap chainsaw and make myself a crappy little motorbike. Maybe you could propel your boat with something like that CT?

Also, what's with the bike seat on the back in the first pic of it in the water?

That's the trolling motor. It powers the boat pretty fast. I'm going to buy a small 2.5hp outboard for it too.

That's a really good idea TJB! I Have a bunch of old chainsaws, so it'd be easy to try. It might be awesome if you had 2 chainsaws, one on the left and right, so maybe you could use them to steer?

I would love to have something electric tho(electric chainsaw LOL), that trolling motor is pretty pwn Zeeba. How does the boat handle for you?

BTW, my friend just moved to CO and I could have bought one of her old kayaks for cheap, doh! ='(

Maybe i'll post a video on youtube, I have one on facebook. It handles very well and turns like a forklift.

There's a boat called the twin troller that uses two trolling motors for steering.

^ Haha cool! =P

I really want to make one of these now.... And TJB's motor bike =P

TJB: Chainsaw Bike-Motorbike Addon! I'd be willing to split the patent costs if you want to go into business =P

Made a dolly to roll the boat fully loaded to locations rather than carrying it unloaded.

How do you prevent it from coming off if you hit a bump?

And okely dokely CT, sounds like a plan.

For all I know, a chainsaw engine won't be able to handle the stress and will just explode, but that's what YouTube's for!

Haha I would love to actually try it. It would be cool if you could use it as an assist motor somehow :P

Growing up, I had plenty of opportunity to play with small engines, but had no interest. Now, i find them very intriguing, but know very little about how they actually work..

You hook it on with a strap. I'm going to switch the wheels for wheelbarrow tires because these couldn't make it over rocks with all the weight of the boat on them.

Yeah, it looks like one cargo strap would do it ;)

The boat design is intriguing, reminds me of a fisher-price pontoon boat I had as a kid, that attached to an airplane:

Ha it looks exactly like that plane's pontoons!
