What do you mean "confirmed" and "complete"?? I NEVER SIGNED UP FOR ANYTHING!

I guess that explains why my internet was extremely slow for the last 48 hours.

I don't know about everyone else, but I've never gotten that Windows 10 Upgrade shit at all. I'm pretty happy about that.

Aside from that, I've heard it's apparently good, but I'm still here using 7 and enjoying it.

Windows 10 is looking like it'll be pretty decent, but definitely wait a few months before touching it, so they can work out the bugs.

So much bigotry over windows 8, 10.
Commented 7 years ago2015-07-31 11:38:42 UTC Comment #62715
How is anything in this journal or the comments therein "bigotry"?
Commented 7 years ago2015-07-31 11:40:17 UTC Comment #62725
Why does it have to be connected to this journal?
Commented 7 years ago2015-07-31 11:42:21 UTC Comment #62716
Relevance. You're commenting on it.
What was your point then?

I think he's being paid by Microsoft to post Windows propaganda all over the Internet :)
Commented 7 years ago2015-07-31 12:18:08 UTC Comment #62726
I wish.
Everywhere I go same story all over - I don't like it because I don't.
Commented 7 years ago2015-07-31 12:28:46 UTC Comment #62717
That's as maybe, but it's got nothing to do with what was being discussed here.
Commented 7 years ago2015-07-31 12:32:52 UTC Comment #62727
It actually does, Windows 10 will not install nor download unless you strictly specify it to do so. Which Stu probably did.
Commented 7 years ago2015-07-31 12:38:32 UTC Comment #62730
Oh God, you two shouldn't be able to see each others posts...
Commented 7 years ago2015-07-31 12:39:02 UTC Comment #62718
So people disliking Windows 8 (or Windows 10, not that anyone said that) "for no reason" is relevant to Stu, I don't know, accidentally pressing a download button or something?

Don't feed the trolls folks... Everyone needs to calm down a notch or two.
Commented 7 years ago2015-07-31 13:59:03 UTC Comment #62728
Because of stus overreaction to what happened I remembered the past times similar overreactions toward windows were made and wrote a post.

Think I might be a scurvy bandit and get 7
Commented 7 years ago2015-07-31 15:32:19 UTC Comment #62723
Yeah I'm sticking with 7 until it comes close to being completely dead and probably giving Linux a shot.

Yes Stojke, I am completely stupid and agreed to the download without knowing.

Now that he's out of here, for everyone else, I did not. I'm completely sure I never once agreed to anything, and all this did indeed happen without asking or telling me. Then I was told I was supposed to "opt out" rather than opt in, which would kind of explain it. Still doesn't explain why I didn't see any option to do that anywhere. Everything looked too opt-in.

When I turned on my computer today it BSOD'd on me on boot (I think it was the first BSOD since I got this computer three years ago) and I feared it was going to boot to W10. Thankfully it didn't and I hope it was just a coincidence.

How is the interface looking so far, easily customizable? Is the white background on explorer & apps still bright enough to hurt the eyes?
I've heard from others they are seeing fps improvements in games, nothing seriously benchmarked, just rumors. I'm hesitant to accept my Win reserve when it becomes available because of the whole UI customization thing...
Commented 7 years ago2015-08-01 00:35:07 UTC Comment #62719
I can't say I've heard anything bad against it from any source. All I've heard from say that they're pretty content with it.
Commented 7 years ago2015-08-01 07:16:39 UTC Comment #62721
I find it hard to believe you didn't click some buttons that triggered this...
I know that because I agreed, I just haven't updated it yet.

Waiting is the best solution now, there's no hurry to get on the Windows 10 bandwagon, because apparently Microsoft recklessly disrespects your privacy.
Commented 7 years ago2015-08-01 09:46:36 UTC Comment #62733
There's plenty wrong with it, as with any other version, Jessie. Like cStriker said, there are the privacy issues; amongst others. Of the top of my head, i know about the wi-fi network default sharing config. fiasco.

I'm perfectly happy with W7, and not going to fuck with it just yet. I am pretty happy you don't have to buy it doe..
