Well Kasperg, I was only addressing fourthgen's post, not Satchmo's initial post. It still shouldnt bother you Kasperg that little 7th graders didnt know that Spain was far from Mexico. They are children....

Were Native Americans from Asia? Im not trying to disprove you, just curious. Do you have any link or reference for this? If so thats a cool little thing to know

How can a religious following be linked to the word arrogance? I understand what you mean, but Religion does not claim to inform about everything in the universe.

fourthgen: Please understand that many Americans are smart. Try to remember that what you see on TV has no relation to the majority. People you talk to who tell you their fellow Americans are dumb probably only hang out with the dumb ones. We are not dumb.. Your experince with Americans online probably is what makes you hate them. You are probably talking to ignorant little American children who are in fact just children. We are very civilized, intelligent, and just like everyone else. NO GREATER, NO LESS.... People like you seem to put America as some Alien race different from everyone else. Dont forget we came from Europe. We are Europe. The only ones unique to this land were the Native Americans. Unfortunatly they were weak and primitive and were conqured.

Every PC company overcharges for computers. Building from the ground up is so much cheaper, and easy too. But, having a warranty is always good too. Alienware actually allows you to open and add parts without voiding the warranty. (unlike Dell) Warranty is key, but you do get warranties on the seperate parts if its custom built. The problem there is finding which one is flawed.

It was a lack of Civilization after the fall of Rome, not leadership. Religion itself is not a controlling force, its a tool used by corrupt leaders. I am in no way insinuating it is evil and controls people, just saying people use it to control.

There should be a small part of the homepage that posts the name of a new map posted, and a screenie of it. That would be pretty cool, and efficient.

Of course its not true anymore, but it once was. It was nothing like political, or society controlling you. Think about it. If you did not obey the king or pope, you go to hell. Pretty strong driving force if you ask me.,

It does draw more attention than the name Revolution does. Its free publicity. M_gargantua is right. Its ingenious. Everyone will be like "Hey you hear Revolution is called Wii?" Or " Yo nintendo's new console is called Wii, how gay is that???" Bad or good its totally free publicity. Very smart. They know they wont lose fans over a name, and know it will appeal to older people more than Revolution. Im still getting it at launch. Cant wait to download Mega Man X 1, 2, and 3!

On another note: Do you think Nintendo will screw us on the online purchase price of old games? Will older ones be cheaper than new ones? Are we talking under a dollar for Turbo Graphix 16 and NES games? Maybe 5 to 10 on N64 games, 10-20 for Gamecube, etc.....

I dont think he is intimidated by God, just has a different way of thinking. But, you still dont say everyone who believes in God is dumb. By that logic, Millions of Muslims, Cathloics, Christians, Jews, Buddists (Faction that believes in a God, not the true buddists) ETC ETC are dumb. Thats a huge part of the population. So that means almost everyone on Earth is dumb. You dont need to agree with people's religion, or get mad when they try to convert you, just brush them off, or listen. What ever you want.

Although it is narrow minded and he is wrong 100%, it is still his opinion. The problem with that kind of opinion is that sometimes others listen to it. Kind of like Hitlers opinions. It spreads and corrupts. This kind of rash, haphazard thinking leads to much worse things than a clash of opinion......

I think this has been lying around for about ten months now. Never could compile it. Kind of afraid to let it go all the way. Last time I let it go for 48 hours and it still wasnt done. The longest full vis/rad compile time now for me is like 45 minutes for a finished map. I might remake this in source....

fourthgen: Do you know Einstein was a Christian? Thomas Edison, etc...... That is very narrow minded automaticly thinking a religion classifies someone as dumb... Why that must be the dumbest thing I ever heard. In fact, that sounds ignorant and racist... (In its own racist way) I dont care about anyones religion. You look to the mind for the smarts, not the beliefs.....

Quote: "J3r3my, I'm sorry but it's a fact that the American public is, in general, dumber than most other developed nations."

WTF is this? What pre tell do you consider "facts"? Dont forget we have some of the best colleges in the entire world..... We might be ignorant and foolish sometimes but we are NOT dumb. You sir sound dumb. Now how can you say you are not after saying the things you said? You cant take them back. They are offensive false slander.

This was my very first map ever. It has too much mistakes to compile, but looks pretty good for a first map. It was for the HL1 engine. There are custom textures, sounds, etc. One big mistake I made here was I didnt know about texture application for face only. I carved, interlaced brushes, drew off grid, you name it I did it. I thought I would post some screens so I can at least show what it could of been. SO here it is, my very first map ever:

Satchmo, I take my grammar seriously when its relavant. I pay attention and type carefully for school. Not for twhl forums. Thats just what I do. Dont like it? Too bad.

As for the peoples suffering: Do you honestly think they are more unhappy now than when we were not in Iraq? Their government was oppressive, and was not feeding them. We constantly are sending food to all around the world. The people of Iraq are still suffering, but are better off then when we were not there.

An indication they are happy is that almost 100% of the population came to vote despite the threats to their lives.

There was always civil war there Pepper as hugh said. Im starting to think you hate America blindly Pepper without proper justification. Ignorance is unacceptable. Dont believe everything you read.

We dont bully any country, were not there for oil. Dont you think America would of siezed the oil and started pumping it to the US already? Oh wait, we didnt because were a logical democracy thats why. We constantly are giving aid and support to everyone! Throughout time we have been doing this. Favors, food, support, etc. Do you honestly think that we are evil and just go around causing trouble? Sounds like you do. THat kind of thinking seems like a child's thinking. You believe everything you hear.

Well they are happier. Almost all of Iraq's citizens were there when they were given the right to vote despite threats to them if they did. I honestly think we went in Iraq for some wrong reasons, but now what do we do to finish? Like you said ZL, if we leave now they will be taken over by the opposing factions. I don?t know what the right course of action is now, but I can say that I hate people who drive SUV?s, Hummers, etc. Argh!!

I dont see why they would stop servicing PC owners. They started and thrived on the PC. They wont just drop it. Consoles are ok, but PC's are so much better. You can mod, upgrade, FPS controls are great. Xbox is limited to its hardware, and there is no modding.

I read somewhere Steam was going to be distributing games on the Nintendo Revolution? If so Steam is really selling out!

Ive said this before. I dont proof-read forum posts. Quick typing causes mispellings. Making an assumption like that is very stupid. Why would someone who is as well educated as a doctor think someones posts on a forum dictate their educational level? I had a fine educadion, got all A's in high school, and is the same in college. Maybe I have become too used to microsoft's spell checker, or maybe I just type fast and dont notice the error. Either way, it seems like a "cheap shot" way to come back at my statements I posted without actually addressing them.....

I dont think I ever look at someone's posts and come to a conclusion that they cant spell, or they are unintelligent.

Unless its something like: U hav 2 go kill da vortigaunt with 1337 shottie!

Satchmo, who claims we are the most powerful? Under-educated red-necks from the south?

Who says were in Iraq for Oil? Thats a theroy Satchmo. We are there because we had evidence of Saddam with weapons of mass destruction. Were there because he was gassing his own people for weapons testing. Were there because His people were suffering. Were there because one day Saddam decided to invade and take over Kuwait. Do you really think if it was for oil we would be seeing some oil by now? Most of the oil is in Saudi Arabia anyway, so your liberal theroy is false. We are in Iraq for democracy. The more democracy, the less threat. Those are why we are in Iraq Satchmo.

Knowing what I do about Germany, I dont blame them for siding with Hitler. They were starving after the war, not to mention their children starving. (Usually when the children start losing food, it gets pretty ugly) They were feeling inadaquite from everyone else from the loss of WWI. Hitler offered food, better lives, and pride. It was gradual as he introduced his views. They were went along with because he took care of the people. Its not people of a country that causes war, its the leaders. The people just wanted to eat and live like everyone else. I blame the individual, not the country.

I learned it last semester in my Western Civ class. Its a college history class, so I dont know if any information would be lacking. I know the causes, I was not addressing the causes. (Another reason was land Germany wanted from Russia) I was addressing the aftermath preluding to WW2.

MAybe you are right. Maybe I have to learn more on the subject. Unfortunatly my major isnt history. I just took the course as a pre-requisite for my major. Perhaps I needed to look more in-depth. Looking back on my previous post, I suppose I was slanted too much towards making America look like an Angel. I have to stop thinking like that :( Thanks for the honest resonse Gwil :) I didnt mean to demene your knowledge of history :(
