Okay... You misunderstood me... (Probably because I didn't elaborate one bit)

Obviously, our future lies in technology. Before long, we will do most of our shopping right at home. My theory is that software, games, you name it will all be part of one interface that is personal for.. well... each person. Its use will be as common as people use the bank, although you will not have to go anywere to use it.

As for steam, it is obviously not this. I believe steam is a good way to distribute games, although not steam in general... What I mean is.. Steam seems to be HL based, where a larger interface would be used for all games. Steam is not headed that way, obviously.

Me? Well... I tend to have a very active imagination, although I try and keep in realism. Pretty much, I think the oddest something could be, but obviously make sure it is practicle and possible...

Valve... They got the idea for HL from science pretty much... Advancements in science... Hence "science Fiction". Pretty much, the whole incident was due to experiments with wormholes, and obviously from the storyline, they had already figured them out.

HL2 was a little more farfetched though... I really didn't like the storyline too much... was quite fun though.

Why does he have a link to Google?

2) um... no.. because with indiviual parts you can manupulate the object to a numerous variety of shapes and sized, create truely unique architexture, or small intrecate objects..

erg...

NEVER USE THE CYLINDER TOOL

Let me explain...

Obviously, if you want to make a cylinder, just make a bunck of wedges and join them together. This way there is almost no way you could have a nasty error... Also, it looks much nicer, is more practicle, and you can sit back, look at it, smile, nod, and say in an acent imitating the retarted guy from Mice and Men: "Tell me about the bunnies George!" - Ha, read that like 3 years ago. :D - Ant

Its based off a real laboratory in New Mexico that is underground, and has a tram system similar to the game. Its obviously not as big, as something like that would take way too long to build... After they finally finished they would have to redo it for new technology.

okay....

First of all, never use the carve tool...

secondly...

never use the cylinder tool...

everything you need done can be made with the wedge tool and VM. Put some extra time into a map, and refrain from being lazy at any possible point, and there will be no errors...

Good luck.

in New Source Map (Work In Progress) Post #141132
How about a torn apart city with drifting road parts and building blocks that slowly move and all, where the rest is blackness? With connections between the 'islands' that look like those particle effects, or clouds, or something like that?
wow! Brilliant!

That would make a good mod...

(Remember the train at the end of HL 1.... the blackness and everything... Could be like the "real" world, where Gordon lives in an alternate reality. The "real" world is not governed by the laws of physics in the "alternate" world, and so there really aren't large land masses like planets.... Or maybe there was one large land mass and it was destroyed... Fragmented out over many different floating land masses.)
