Coplanar faces: A brush has a face which is split onto more than one. Hard to explain. Did you use vertex manipulation?

You cannot create real horror in HL. You'd need better animation sequnces for the monsters, that'd help alot.
DOOM3, will be real horror, I'm really looking forward to play it.

A lion, King o' the jungle, is lying on a glade snoozing. Then an elephant appears, jumping and whistling. He jumps into a bush, rustling and suddenly a PLOPP. The elephant comes out again giggling and laughing.
Next day, same place, same lion. Again the elephant comes along. Again he jumps into the bush, again a rustling, another PLOPP. Again he comes out completely happy and disappears.
Third day, all the same, the lion is already taken aback. After the PLOPP, he ask the laughing elephant: "Hey, what are you doing in that bush that makes you so happy?". The elephant replies, "Well, I rape monkeys.". The lion, "But, that's normal. Everybody here does that.".
The elephant laughingly answers, "Yeah, but yours don't burst!".

As I saw the screeny and coolfat talking proudly about his r_speeds, the first thing that came to my mind was 'stupe'.
I didn't post it, because I thought it was too spammy. But then I saw that I wasn't the only one thinking like that.
I usually don't spam, but this time I had to do it. He was almost begging for being called a stupe.

When most people hear spirit, the only thing that comes to their mind is fog and movewith.

Basically you can do everything you ever wanted, but you'll soon notice that it has it's limits.
You should be advanced at normal HL ent stuff before you use spirit.
So if you can still learn things from most HL tutorials, it's not a good idea to begin using spirit.

Well, at least I wish I was. I'm pretty good at it though.
BTW: SPAM comes from 'Spiced Pork And Meat' which has been excessively promoted and got on everybody's nerves. It was everywhere.

Try to search quake, ogl and game programming sites for it.
A friend of mine is a coder and he uses BSP for his game, which makes mapping a lot easier for me. :)

There's a map called sputnik by devious, a really great mapper. The map it
self is from year 2000.

The Double Data Rate means that, in one ramcycle, two datapackages are transfered.
DDR2 does the same, but the overall speed and stuff is higher.
That's why it's still called DDR.

The thread for the TWHL HLDM session.
Nothing has been said about what maps to play and when we do it, so make suggestions!
Some basic proposals:
1. We don't use steam. Just normal HL internet game.
2. If you want your map to be played, upload it and post a link.
3. We need a server. 7th said atom could do it. Can anyone get him here?

I can provide two small HLDM maps. I'll upload them if you like.

But I could visit a friend to play it.
We should open a new thread with a list of the maps we'll play, so everybody can download them first. I could provide two really really small DM maps.
I built them during a LAN party, they're really cool for a short time.

Afaik EDO-RAM is what they used in times of 368s.
You're talking about RD-RAM, but it's no that good either. DDR2'll come out soon, that one is really fast.

Try '-game "Rotten Stinkers". There's a space in the name, that might confuse HL.
I suggest you to to name the folder RS or RSM (rotten stikers mod), to make it easier.
What kind of mod is that anyway?
